Ober (7-5) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six across 4.1 innings.

Ober has now gone eight starts without a win. After four scoreless frames, the right-hander gave up an RBI single to Munetaka Murakami to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead they never squandered. Ober needed 84 pitches (50 strikes) to record just 13 outs, his second-shortest start during a winless stretch in which he's gone 0-2 with a 4.20 ERA and 27:13 K:BB in 40.2 innings. He'll be on the lookout for more run support in his next scheduled start against Cleveland.

Miller picked up the save Sunday against the Yankees, striking out three and walking one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Miller struck out Ben Rice looking with a runner on first to notch his 33rd save on the season. The All-Star reliever had his first two blown saves of the year in August but now has a win and a save during his two appearances in September. This adds on to Miller's stellar year, as he's 33-for-35 in save opportunities with a 1.19 ERA and extraordinary 16.56 K/9 through 60.1 innings.

Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Yankees

He was the first of three Padres to hit a home run in the first inning with an opposite field blast off Gerrit Cole, Tatis' 20th long ball of the season. This was his third leadoff homer this season as he continues his hot hitting since the All-Star break. The 27-year-old has a .960 OPS with 15 home runs and 36 RBI in 46 games during that span.

Campusano went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Campusano took Gerrit Cole deep for a 343-foot long ball to lead off the seventh inning and give the Padres a 4-0 lead. The 27-year-old backstop has started the past four games -- two at catcher, two at designated hitter -- and has gone 4-for-14 with two home runs during that stretch. So long as he continues to swing a hot bat, Campusano should have a fairly clear path to steady playing time.

Jones went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Padres.

With the Yankees down 4-0, Jones got his team on the board with a RBI double in the eighth inning and then was able to score on an error by Adrian Morejon. Jones had a great series against San Diego, going 4-for-11 (.364) with three RBI. The 25-year-old could be set to receive consistent playing time down the stretch, as Trent Grisham is potentially out for the rest of the season with a calf strain.

King (10-9) earned the win over the Yankees on Sunday, allowing no runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three across six innings.

King has pitched 19 consecutive scoreless innings over his last three starts for the Padres. The 31-year-old has lowered his season ERA to 3.00 as a result, to go along with a 1.17 WHIP and 144 strikeouts over 168 innings. The righty next lines up for a favorable matchup next weekend in San Francisco.

Cole (8-8) took the loss against the Padres on Sunday, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks in seven innings. He struck out three.

Cole started his outing by giving up home runs to the first three batters he faced. This was actually the second time in Cole's career that he allowed three consecutive homers to start a game -- the first came in 2022 against the Twins. The right-hander served up a fourth solo homer in the seventh inning but still tied his longest outing of the campaign. Cole has issued two or fewer walks in each of his past five starts, though he hasn't had his strikeout stuff lately with just 13 punchouts over his past three outings (18.1 innings). He lines up for a matchup with the Mets his next time out.

Ginkel struck out the side to earn his third save of the season Sunday against Houston.

With Paul Sewald out of the picture in Arizona, Ginkel is in the mix as one of Arizona's favorites for saves. The right-hander has been scored upon on just one occasion over his last nine outings, successfully converting each of his last three save opportunities. Through 59.2 innings, he has a 4.07 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 61:16 K:BB.

Crawford (forearm) is expected to remain on the injured list for the rest of the season, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The Red Sox announced around the All-Star break that Crawford had resumed playing catch, but news has been scarce on the right-hander ever since. After his 2025 season came to an early end due to right wrist surgery, Crawford was further set back in the spring by the flu. He opened the season on the injured list and appeared to be in line for just a brief absence, but he was pulled off a rehab assignment in mid-April after experiencing right flexor irritation, and he experienced renewed tightness in his forearm in early June. Though he's under club control through 2028, he could be a non-tender candidate this winter after having essentially two straight seasons lost to injury.

Rodriguez (15-5) notched the win against the Astros on Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six.

American League MVP frontrunner Yordan Alvarez took Rodriguez deep in the first inning, but that was all the offense Houston would muster. The southpaw has regularly generated quality starts all year long, racking up 18 of them over 29 outings. He'll carry a strong 2.55 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 128:57 K:BB through 173 innings into his next scheduled appearance against Texas.
