The Royals optioned Spence to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old was called up to make a spot start Monday against the Nationals, and he'll return to Omaha after surrendering six runs across four innings. Spencer has given up six runs in both of his big-league appearances this season and has also struggled to a 6.54 ERA across 42.2 innings at Triple-A.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that he expects Grisham (hamstring) to be sidelined for "a few weeks."

Grisham was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right hamstring strain. He was scheduled for an MRI on Monday, and while Boone didn't reveal the results of that imaging, the skipper did offer a rough timetable for Grisham's return to action. Spencer Jones and Cody Bellinger have each netted one start in center field since Grisham was hurt.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Dominguez had a tooth pulled, and his availability for Tuesday's game versus the White Sox is uncertain.

The Yankees are presumably waiting to see how Dominguez feels after he reports to the ballpark before determining whether he will be ready to start the series opener. Dominguez has been in the lineup for each of the last two games following his return from the injured list. He will not need an IL stint as a result of his tooth extraction, but Dominguez might sit out Tuesday's contest.

Kriske (shoulder) began a throwing progression Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Kriske landed on the injured list May 13 due to a right shoulder impingement and had previously been shut down from throwing. Beginning a throwing progression is a step in the right direction, though it's just the first of many as the right-hander works his way back to full health. Having been transferred to the 60-day injured list June 2, Kriske isn't eligible to be activated until after the All-Star break.

Butler went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Pirates.

Butler extended the Athletics' lead with an RBI double off the wall in left-center field in the seventh inning, giving him his third multi-hit effort over the past four games. The 25-year-old has been much better at the plate of late, going 10-for-24 (.417) with a homer, two doubles, four RBI and five runs across his past eight appearances. With Brent Rooker (knee) sidelined, there's more of an opportunity for Carlos Cortes to shift to designated hitter and Butler to play right field against right-handed pitching, as was the case Monday. Overall, Butler is hitting .193 with a .565 OPS, four homers, five doubles, 18 RBI, 22 runs and four stolen bases across 196 plate appearances this season.

Assad is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Rockies at Wrigley Field.

After spinning 6.1 scoreless innings of long relief June 7 against the Giants in Chicago following Jameson Taillon's (hamstring) early exit, Assad ended up taking over as the Cubs' new No. 5 starter last week following Taillon's move to injured list. Assad thrived again in a matchup with a weak Giants offense -- this time in San Francisco -- striking out five batters over six shutout frames en route to picking up his fourth win of the season. The right-hander will get another favorable matchup for his upcoming turn, but Assad's standing in the rotation will be murky following Wednesday's outing. After a recent setback, Matthew Boyd (knee/shoulder) was able to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, and he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list to replace Assad in the rotation the next time the Cubs need a fifth starter.

Sullivan (illness) will start Wednesday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

The Rockies called Sullivan up from Triple-A Albuquerque last Friday to fill the fifth spot in their rotation. Despite being tasked with making his MLB debut in an extreme hitter-friendly venue in Las Vegas, Sullivan was able to keep the Athletics off the board for three innings while striking out three batters and allowing just three baserunners. The 23-year-old lefty ended up having his start cut short after falling ill, but he's since recovered from the ailment and performed well enough during his time on the mound to earn himself another turn through the rotation. Even though he excelled in his debut and will be pitching in a more favorable environment for his second start, Sullivan will still be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes after he posted underwhelming numbers over a larger sample at Triple-A (5.76 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 50:19 K:BB in 54.2 innings).

Robberse (elbow) has been sent to the Cardinals' Florida Complex League affiliate to begin a rehab assignment.

Robberse has been cleared to pitch in games as he continues to work his way back from May 2025 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander was removed from the Cardinals' 40-man roster over the offseason before being re-signed to a minor-league contract. Robberse should eventually join the Memphis rotation once he's deemed ready.

Padilla (shoulder) has been sent to the Cardinals' Florida Complex League affiliate to begin a rehab assignment.

Padilla has been sidelined all season with a strained shoulder but has finally been cleared to test things out in a game atmosphere. The shortstop will likely play a few games with the FCL Cardinals before eventually being assigned to Single-A Palm Beach for his introduction to full-season ball. Padilla will turn just 19 later this month and hit .283/.396/.367 with 24 stolen bases last season in the FCL.

Tiedemann (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with the Blue Jays' Florida Complex League affiliate Tuesday, MLB Pipeline reports.

It will be Tiedemann's first official game appearance in nearly two years, as he had Tommy John surgery in July 2024 and then had a setback with his elbow during spring training. The talented but injury-prone lefty has totaled just 140 innings in the minors since being drafted by Toronto in 2021. Tiedemann will eventually be assignment to Triple-A Buffalo following the conclusion of his rehab assignment, and he could help the Blue Jays out sometime after the All-Star break if all goes well.
