Jaxson Dart QB | NYG
Giants' Jaxson Dart: Taking over as starting QB
The Giants are planning to start Dart at quarterback on Sunday against the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The writing was on the wall for this one after coach Brian Daboll on Monday refused to commit to Russell Wilson as his starter. Through three games, Wilson had completed a career-low 59.1 percent of his pass attempts for 778 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. All three of his touchdown passes came in Week 2 against the Cowboys, when Wilson threw for 450 yards. Outside of that game, Wilson completed just 35 of 69 passes (50.7 percent) for 328 yards (4.8 yards per attempt), zero scores and two INTs. The 0-3 Giants need a spark, and Dart will aim to provide one after he looked great during the preseason, completing 32 of 47 passes for 372 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also rushed six times for 52 yards and a fourth score. Dart gets a tough test against the Chargers in Week 4, but his upside is immense as a dual-threat quarterback working with a legit No. 1 receiver in Malik Nabers and a reliable possession option in Wan'Dale Robinson.

Cam Ward QB | TEN
Titans' Cam Ward: Coach gives up play-calling duties
Titans coach Brian Callahan announced Tuesday he's handing off play-calling duties to QBs coach Bo Hardegree.
Hardegree was hired as Callahan's QBs coach ahead of the 2024 season and has very limited experience calling offensive plays in the NFL, only doing it with the Raiders in 2023 after coach Josh McDaniels and OC Joe Lombardi were fired during the season. However, the Titans simply needed to make a change. Entering Week 4, Tennessee is 31st in yards per game, 32nd in touchdowns scored, 32nd in passing yards and 32nd in sacks allowed. There's simply nowhere to go but up for the Titans. Averaging a mere 8.4 fantasy points per game through three weeks, rookie No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward is fantasy's QB36.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Plays game-manager role on MNF
Goff completed 20 of 28 pass attempts for 202 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for six yards in Monday's 38-30 win over Baltimore.
Goff failed to sniff last week's five-touchdown effort in Monday's primetime tilt, instead giving way to the running game to generate 218 yards of offense and four trips to the end zone. The Novato, CA native has already generated massive swings in production through just three weeks of action, making him a risky play in standard one-QB formats. Goff now will have to take on a brutal Cleveland defense Week 4, but at least Sunday's contest will be at home, where the signal-caller generally has better splits throughout his career.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Impressive production in home loss
Jackson completed 21 of 27 passes for 288 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed seven times for 35 yards in the Ravens' 38-30 loss to the Lions on Monday night.
Jackson's stat line was practically pristine, with the two-time MVP finishing the night boasting a 148.1 QB rating. However, Jackson wasn't able to help the Ravens keep pace with an aggressive Lions offense that successfully converted two fourth-quarter fourth-down opportunities. Jackson did pad his numbers somewhat on Baltimore's last drive, a possession he capped off with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Mark Andrews, his second of the night to the veteran tight end. Jackson also connected with Rashod Bateman for a three-yard scoring strike just before halftime, and he'll head into a Week 4 road showdown against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs with a stellar 9:0 TD:INT through his first three games of 2025.

Adrian Martinez QB | NYJ
Adrian Martinez: Reverts to practice squad
Martinez reverted to San Francisco's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Martinez served as the 49ers' backup quarterback Sunday but didn't see the field despite Mac Jones aggravating a knee injury during the team's 16-15 win over the Cardinals. Brock Purdy (shoulder/toe) is expected to return to practice this week in a limited capacity and could make his return against the Jaguars in Week 4. Martinez could be elevated to the 49ers' active roster for a third consecutive week depending on the health of Purdy and Jones.

Brady Cook QB | NYJ
Brady Cook: Returns to practice squad
Cook reverted to the Jets' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Cook was elevated to operate as New York's backup quarterback behind Tyrod Taylor in Week 3, failing to enter the contest in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Buccaneers. With Justin Fields (concussion) still uncertain for Week 4, Cook could be elevated again to operate as the team's backup behind Taylor on Monday Night Football in Miami.

J.J. McCarthy QB | MIN
Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Won't play in Week 4
Coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that McCarthy (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers in Dublin, Ireland, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Beyond McCarthy's lack of availability Week 4, O'Connell also noted, "First and foremost, he's got to get healthy. And then, I don't think it's one of those things where it's, hey, he's healthy the night before a game, we're going to throw him out there and say, 'Hey, go figure it out' type of thing." McCarthy emerged from a Week 2 loss to the Falcons with a high right ankle sprain and sat out this past Sunday's win against the Bengals, which allowed Carson Wentz to lead the Vikings offense. Overall, Wentz didn't commit a turnover and compiled 173 yards and two touchdowns on 14-for-20 passing. Wentz will continue operating as the starter for as long as McCarthy is sidelined and potentially even when he's healthy, per O'Connell.

Mac Jones QB | SF
49ers' Mac Jones: Deemed 'day-to-day' by coach
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Jones is day-to-day after aggravating a PCL sprain in his left knee during Sunday's 16-15 win against the Cardinals, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Jones got another spot start for Brock Purdy (left shoulder/toe) in Week 3, completing 27 of 41 passes for 284 yards, one touchdown and one interception and losing one yard on his only carry. Late in the contest, though, Jones was visibly hobbled, and he told reporters afterward about the lingering knee issue, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Meanwhile, Shanahan also relayed to Wagoner on Monday that Purdy will resume practicing this week after doing so in a limited fashion last week. The 49ers likely will roll with whoever is healthiest among Purdy and Jones on Sunday against the Jaguars considering practice-squad member Adrian Martinez currently is the only other QB in San Francisco that's eligible to be on the active roster for game days.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: To resume practicing Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Purdy (left shoulder/toe) will resume practicing Wednesday, at which point the 49ers will evaluate him to see if he'll be ready to return Sunday against the Jaguars, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Purdy was able to practice last week in a limited fashion after sitting out Week 2 due to a turf toe variant and also an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, but he was listed as questionable for this past Sunday's game versus the Cardinals and eventually ruled out. Mac Jones got another spot start under center and completed 27 of 41 passes for 284 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but he also aggravated a PCL sprain in his left knee and is considered day-to-day, as Shanahan told Wagoner. With San Francisco's top two quarterbacks in limbo ahead of Week 4 action, how Purdy fares as the week goes on likely will be the determining factor for who Shanahan calls upon Sunday.

Jayden Daniels QB | WAS
Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Still considered day-to-day
Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Daniels (knee) is still day-to-day, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Quinn said he'd have an update on Daniels' health Wednesday, per Tashan Reed of The Washington Post, but for now the second-year quarterback's status remains up in the air for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons. Backup Marcus Mariota piloted Washington's offense well in Week 3's win over the Raiders, providing the Commanders confidence that things will remains steady if Daniels requires further time on the sideline to get right.
