  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Offense sputters for three quarters

Tagovailoa (quadriceps/shoulder) completed 17 of 27 pass attempts for 173 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Bills.

Tagovailoa started and ended Miami's nine offensive possessions with drive-killing interceptions as the Dolphins slid back into the final wild-card spot while the Bills crowned themselves as AFC East champs. The bulk of Tagovailoa's meager fantasy production came over the course of two methodical touchdown drives in the second quarter. Outside of that, every other offensive drive for the Dolphins ended in either a punt or an interception. Tagovailoa has now thrown four picks over his last two games, matching his total thrown over his previous eight contests combined. The Alabama product finishes the 2023 regular season completing 69 percent of his passes for a league-leading 4,624 passing yards to go along with 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Tagovailoa will attempt to end his recent slump when the Dolphins visit the Chiefs on Saturday for the start of the playoffs.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Rides rollercoaster to Week 18 win

Allen completed 30 of 38 pass attempts for 359 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing 15 times for 67 yards and losing a fumble in Sunday's 21-14 win over Miami.

Fans watching Sunday Night Football were treated to the full Josh Allen Experience and all the ups and downs that came along the way to an eventual AFC East-clinching victory over the now No. 6 seed Dolphins. The gunslinging signal-caller threw two more interceptions to bring his season total up to 18 over 17 starts, though one of his picks Sunday turned out to be a savvy decision on a broken play on fourth down that resulted in the QB's second interception of the game but a net positive for Buffalo in terms of field position. Allen finishes the regular season with 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns and 18 interceptions as a passer in addition to 111 attempts for 524 yards and an attention-grabbing 15 touchdowns as a rusher (surpassing his previous high of seven). The Bills' franchise quarterback will begin preparations to face a banged-up Steelers squad next Sunday in the opening round of the playoffs.

  • Carson Wentz QB | MIN

Rams' Carson Wentz: Scores three TDs in spot-start

Wentz completed 17 of 24 pass attempts for 163 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while adding 56 yards and a rushing touchdown on 17 carries in Sunday's 21-20 win over San Francisco.

Wentz made his first start of the season in Week 18 with starter Matthew Stafford resting for the playoff-bound Rams. The veteran backup generated three touchdowns while leading his team to victory Sunday. Wentz will continue backing up Stafford for as long as Los Angeles' playoff run lasts before becoming an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Throws two scores in win

Smith completed 16 of 28 pass attempts for 189 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 28 yards on three attempts in Sunday's 21-20 win over the Cardinals.

Smith led a clutch game-winning drive within the two-minute warning to lead his team to victory and a 9-8 record in 2023. Last year's Comeback Player of the Year saw his numbers take a step back this season, completing 65 percent of his passes for 3,435 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 15 games. The only area the 32-year-old improved in was ball protection by committing three fewer turnovers compared to 2022. Despite Smith's slight regression, he figures to be under center for Seattle next season after signing a three-year contract extension this past offseason.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Solid finish to rehab season

Murray completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 262 yards and a touchdown while adding 33 rushing yards on five attempts in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Seahawks.

Murray finished the 2023 season on a high note with a pair of outings reminiscent of his pre-injury days under center in Arizona. The 27-year-old didn't look like the dual-threat fantasy stud he once was upon returning from ACL surgery in Week 10. If Murray can produce numbers close to his last three games this season (241.3 passing yards and 29.7 rushing yards per game along with a 6:1 TD:INT) in 2024, then we could see a bounce-back season in store for the two-sport athlete.

  • Chiefs' Blaine Gabbert: Uninspiring in spot start

Gabbert completed 15 of 30 passes for 154 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 13-12 win over the Chargers. He added five rushes for 46 yards.

The Chiefs locked in the No. 3 seed in the AFC in Week 17, so they opted to sit a number of their starters in Sunday's win. Patrick Mahomes (coach's decision) was among the inactives, which allowed Gabbert to appear in his second game of the season. He posted an uninspiring stat line but did manage to lead the team on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter, based primarily on a few scrambles that picked up a combined 39 yards. He'll find himself back on the bench throughout the Chiefs' postseason run.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Forgettable end to season Sunday

Young completed 11 of 18 passes for 94 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed twice for 24 yards in the Panthers' 9-0 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.

Young also took three sacks and finished with a quarterback rating of 39.1, a microcosm of his utterly forgettable rookie season. The first overall pick once again had trouble pushing the ball down the field, as he averaged only 5.2 yards per attempt, and his yardage total was a season low. Young finished with under 200 passing yards in all but five of his 16 games while throwing just 11 touchdowns and tossing 10 interceptions. There's hope a new coaching staff and offense -- not to mention better pass-catching weapons -- can turn Young around in his second NFL season, but the rookie heads into his first NFL offseason with plenty of questions surrounding him.

  • Easton Stick QB | ATL

Chargers' Easton Stick: Underwhelming in season finale

Stick completed 28 of 47 passes for 258 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Chiefs. He rushed the ball 13 times for 77 yards and also lost a fumble.

Stick drew his fourth consecutive start with Justin Herbert (finger) sidelined. Despite taking to the air 47 times, he put up a relatively modest yardage total while averaging just 5.5 yards per attempt. He did show plenty of playmaking ability as a rusher, but the end result was still an uninspiring effort for the Chargers' offense as they mustered only four field goals. In five games this season, Stick accounted for only four touchdowns while turning the ball over five times. He's set to hit free agency and will hope to remain the backup in Los Angeles or land a second-string job elsewhere around the league.

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Offseason trade expected

The Jets will try to trade Wilson (concussion) in the offseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

This news comes as no surprise, though Rapoport's reporting adds more legitimacy to previous rumblings that Wilson's tenure with the Jets has come to a close. Wilson will first have to recover from the concussion that kept him out of New York's final three games before he can be moved. If the Jets fail to find a trade partner for the former second overall pick, they could release Wilson to clear space on the roster for a veteran backup to 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers, who is working his way back from a torn Achilles.

  • Sam Howell QB | DAL

Commanders' Sam Howell: Picked off twice in finale

Howell completed 19 of 27 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Cowboys.

It was a fittingly rough end to a poor season for Washington, and Howell wraps up his first -- and possibly last -- season as the team's starting quarterback with a 21:21 TD:INT over 17 games, with the interceptions being the most in the NFL. The 2022 fifth-round selection is expected to get serious competition for the starting job in the offseason, likely from whoever the Commanders select with the second overall pick in the 2024 Draft, and Howell is likely to head into Week 1 of next year in the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.
