Manhertz caught his only target for a 22-yard touchdown during Sunday's 37-21 loss to Texans.

The 29-year-old was expected to begin the season as the starting tight end after inking a two-year, $6.65 million deal in the offseason, but James O'Shaughnessy ended up receiving the nod. Manhertz played only 35 percent of the offensive snaps, but he still was able to secure the second touchdown of his career. He won't have much relevance in fantasy even if he takes over the starting role given the lack of receiving production throughout his career as he continues to work mostly as a blocker.

Hurst caught four of eight targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Eagles.

Hurst posted a similar stat line to rookie fourth overall pick Kyle Pitts, despite significantly less volume, as Pitts finished with four catches for 31 yards on eight targets in his NFL debut. Atlanta frequently employed two tight ends in the formation, as both Hurst (43 of 72) and Pitts (49 of 72) were on the field for at least 60 percent of the team's offensive snaps, suggesting there's a role for both guys in the offense moving forward.

Ertz (hamstring) is still being evaluated, but coach Nick Siriani was encouraged by Ertz's ability to return to Sunday's win over Atlanta, Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com reports.

Ertz caught both of his targets for 34 yards in the 32-6 victory. His practice participation ahead of Philadelphia's Week 2 matchup with the 49ers could be impacted by this injury, but Ertz seems unlikely to miss any game action barring a setback.

Lewis was targeted once and caught the pass for 19 yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.

Lewis was credited with a start Sunday, but he wound up spending only 15 plays on the field and drawing no more than the lone target. He caught just 10 passes last season and 28 over the last three, so it's unlikely he'll make any sort of regular impact in fantasy leagues.

Hill completed his only pass for three yards while rushing twice for one yard during Sunday's 38-3 win over the Packers.

Jameis Winston handled the vast majority of playing time while Hill mixed in sporadically, converting two third downs before getting stuffed at the goal line on a designed run. While he was largely effective within his gadget role in reality, Hill didn't see nearly enough playing time to even warrant consideration in two-quarterback fantasy leagues. Given the success of Winston in the season opener, it seems unlikely that will change anytime soon.

Henry was on the field for 54 of a possible 75 snaps on offense in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Meanwhile, Jonnu Smith logged 55 snaps, as the Patriots predictably featured their share of two-TE sets Week 1. In the process, Henry hauled in all three of his targets for 31 yards, while Smith ended up catching all five of his targets for 42 yards, while fumbling once (recovered). As long as both players are available, their weekly target volume will fluctuate, but on the plus side the duo does seem destined for steady playing time this season.

Smith logged 55 of a possible 75 snaps on offense in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Meanwhile, Hunter Henry was on the field for 54 snaps, with the Patriots, as expected, featuring their share of two-TE sets Week 1. Smith ended up catching all five of his targets for 42 yards, while fumbling once (recovered), with Henry hauling in all three of his targets for 31 yards. As long as both Smith and Henry are available, their weekly target volume will be tough to predict, but it does at least seem that steady playing time is on tap for the duo.

Dillon did not play a snap on offense and played 22 snaps on special teams in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.

Dillon was listed ahead of Chris Herndon as the No. 2 tight end on the depth chart ahead of Week 1, but he wasn't used on offense. He should be behind Tyler Conklin and Herndon going forward as far as involvement on offense, with Herndon getting acclimated after his late preseason trade to the Vikings from the Jets.

Conklin had four receptions on four targets for 41 yards in Sunday's overtime loss at Cincinnati.

With Irv Smith out for the season with a knee injury, Conklin moved into the top tight end role and played 59 snaps on offense, going out for a pass on 38 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. It was a slight negative that the Vikings utilized a third receiver (K.J. Osborn) more than usual in the passing game, but the Vikings also were playing much of the game from behind. Conklin may have a larger role if the team isn't playing behind, but he showed he'll be a part of the passing game and could emerge as a red-zone target. Chris Herndon still has the possibility to cut into Conklin's playing time, but Herndon played just 12 snaps Sunday as he gets up to speed on the offense after being traded to the Vikings from the Jets late in the preseason.

Tonyan was targeted four times and caught two passes for eight yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.

Tonyan was the clear-cut top tight end for the Packers in Week 1, but he saw only a few passes thrown his direction, and with his team pulling the bulk of its starters early, he was on the field for only 49 percent of offensive plays. He did a lot of damage in the red zone last season, but the Packers rarely crossed midfield Sunday, which further limited his opportunities. Some fantasy players may cut ties with Tonyan after his Week 1 dud, but don't forget he scored 11 touchdowns over 15 games after being shut out in last season's opener.
