Sherfield has "stepped up and been a favorite" of Josh Allen during spring practices, writes The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia.

Sherfield inked a one-year deal with Buffalo after spending last season with the division-rival Dolphins, where he set career highs across the board with 30 catches for 417 yards and two touchdowns on 58 percent of the offensive snaps behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In Buffalo, Sherfield "has stood out the most this spring" as the third receiver and has gained Allen's trust, Buscaglia reports. Given that assessment, it appears the 27-year-old has a strong chance to serve as the Bills' No. 3 wideout behind Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, although talented second-year wideout Khalil Shakir could serve as formidable training camp/preseason competition.

Campbell was frequently targeted by QB Daniel Jones during spring practices and also got some reps as a running back in individual drills and walk-throughs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Duggan counted 15 receptions from Jones to Campbell during open practices this spring, four more than any other wide receiver had with the Giants' starting quarterback. Campbell's work in the backfield is also somewhat interesting in light of the Giants' shaky RB depth behind Saquon Barkley, who hasn't signed his franchise tag and has until July 17 to negotiate a long-term contract. Campbell took only 11 carries for 108 yards in 32 games for Indianapolis the past four seasons, but he's at least athletic enough to be more active in that regard, considering he ran a 4.31 40-yard dash at 205 pounds prior to the Colts drafting him 59th overall in 2019. A slew of injuries limited Campbell to 15 games over his first three seasons, and he finally stayed healthy last year but was part of one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL. The Giants signed him to a one-year, $4.7 million contract in March and seemingly want to be more creative with how Campbell is deployed rather than limiting him to short passes out of the slot.

Bears QB Justin Fields said Thursday that his chemistry with Moore has "come on quickly" in recent weeks, ESPN's Courtney Cronin reports.

Moore called the connection "a work in progress" at the start of OTAs in May, two months after the Bears traded for him as part of a deal that sent Carolina the No. 1 overall pick. It sounds like he and Fields have made progress this spring, with the QB mentioning Thursday that he's been impressed by Moore's ability to recognize different coverages. The 26-year-old wideout joins an offense that was last in the league for pass attempts and passing yardage last year, but there's hope for a big step forward with Fields entering his third pro season after the Bears added Moore and rookie OT Darnell Wright (10th overall pick) this spring.

Johnson (Achilles) participated in the Giants' mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Johnson tore his Achilles last August, causing him to miss all of last season but is now back on the field. The 2019 fifth-round pick caught 11 passes for 105 yards for the Giants in 2021 and will now compete for a depth slot in what's become a crowded receiver room heading into the coming campaign

Pryor (shoulder) participated in the Jaguars' recent minicamp, John Oesher of the team's official site reports.

A shoulder injury kept Pryor out of the team's divisional round loss to the Chiefs last season, but now that he's past the issue the 25-year-old will look to secure a role as a depth wideout ahead of the coming season. Pryor, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent last year, did not appear in any regular-season games during his rookie campaign.

Miller (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation by the Giants on Thursday.

Miller was unable to compete during minicamp, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. The 25-year-old missed the majority of the 2022 campaign with a broken wrist, finishing the season on the team's practice squad. The waiving of Miller cleared the way for the Giants to sign defensive lineman Kobe Smith, who has spent time with the practice squads for the Titans, Buccaneers, Eagles and Falcons since 2022, but has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Coutee signed a contract with the Saints on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Coutee played in 10 games over the last two seasons in Indianapolis after spending the first three seasons of his career in Houston. The veteran wideout will likely face an uphill battle making the Saints roster, but his versatility as a receiver and return man could increase his chances of securing a roster spot.

Bowden signed with the Saints on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Bowden has struggled to gain his footing in the NFL since getting selected in the third round of the 2020 Draft by the Raiders. He was traded to the Dolphins before his rookie campaign began and made 28 receptions on 37 targets for 211 yards during his initial season. A hamstring injury ruined his 2021 and he spent all but one game on the Patriots practice squad in 2022. He'll now work to gain that footing with the Saints this season.

Wims was released by the Cardinals on Thursday, Jess Root of USA Today reports.

Wims signed a reserve/future contract with the Cardinals this past January after working with their 2022 practice squad for the majority of the season. Since entering the NFL, the 2018 seventh-rounder has totaled 266 yards on 28 catches with two touchdowns over the course of 34 games.

Crawford is slated to sign with the Chiefs, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The 25-year-old was waived by Indianapolis last July before ending up in Kansas City. During his last college season at California in 2021, Crawford totaled 40 receptions for 513 yards in 11 games. He has yet to play an NFL snap after going undrafted in 2022 and will most likely be competing for a practice squad spot ahead of the coming season.
