Carter did not play in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Patriots, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.

The Giants have termed the benching a coach's decision, with an additional report from Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post relaying the move was made after Carter missed a team responsibility during the week. Carter has been spotted on the sideline wearing a coat over his jersey, but he is expected to take the field at some point.

Pineiro (hamstring) is expected to return to action following the 49ers' bye week in Week 14, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Pineiro has missed the last two contests with a hamstring injury, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that the team "should" get the kicker back after their bye week. Pineiro has gone a perfect 22-for-22 on field-goal attempts, including six makes from 50-plus yards, over 10 contests with San Francisco this season.

Juszczyk is dealing with a rib fracture ahead of the 49ers' bye week, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Juszczyk sustained the injury in the team's 26-8 win over the Browns on Sunday, and he's expected to be reevaluated after the team is idle in Week 14. The fullback will have a good shot at not missing any action moving forward as a result of the week off.

Jefferson recorded three catches on four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 25-3 loss to the Jaguars.

Jefferson saw a slight downturn in snaps due to the return of Elic Ayomanor, but he still managed to retain a serviceable role in the offense. He converted three of his targets into short gains, and he's topped 25 receiving yards only twice in 12 games this season.

Rucci was claimed off waivers by the Lions on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Rucci was cut loose by the Dolphins on Saturday, but he's quickly found a new home with the Lions. The 24-year-old will provide the team with some much-needed depth at tight end with Sam LaPorta (back) done for the regular season and Brock Wright (neck) potentially set for a prolonged absence. Rucci has failed to garner a target while playing 39 offensive snaps over four contests with Miami this year.

Dike recorded one catch (on four targets) for eight yards in Sunday's 25-3 loss to the Jaguars. He also had five punt returns for 76 yards and three kickoff returns for 76 yards.

Dike's inconsistency this season has mirrored that of the Tennessee offense as a whole, as he has at least 40 receiving yards in three of his last six games and under 20 in the remaining three. While his receiving line was a disappointment, Dike has gained a more consistent role in the offense, commanding at least four targets in four of his last six games. He also remains the team's primary returner on special teams.

Moore was hosted by the Broncos for a visit Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Moore was waived by the Bills on Wednesday, but he has yet to find a new home. The wide receiver caught nine of 17 targets for 112 yards while also adding 24 yards and a score on six carries over nine games with Buffalo this season. The 25-year-old would provide Denver with another experienced option at wideout if the team deems him worthy of a deal.

Diggs (knee) was a limited participant at practice Monday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Diggs was designated to return from injured reserve Sunday, opening a 21-day practice window for the cornerback. The 27-year-old has been sidelined since suffering a concussion in a home incident in mid-October, and he has also been nursing a right knee injury throughout his absence. He appears to have moved past the concussion, being listed with just the knee issue on Monday's injury report. Diggs will have two more chances to potentially log a full practice and be activated for the team's matchup with Detroit on Thursday.

Coach Sean McDermott revealed Monday that Prater's teammate Tyler Bass (left hip/groin) underwent surgery last week and will be sidelined for the rest of the season, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

That should give Prater, who was signed in a pinch just ahead of Week 1 and has been kicking for the Bills all season, the team's kicking job for the rest of the campaign. Prater has been dependable for the most part, going 17-for-19 on field-goal attempts, but extra points have been an issue recently and he's missed one in three of the past six games. If you can get past the fact his leg strength isn't what it used to be now that he's 41 years of age and that weather could be an issue with all remaining games played in wintry locations, there's value to be had here in a high-powered offense that still has the Bengals and the Jets on the schedule. Prater currently sits 14th among kickers in total scoring.

Clowney (hamstring) did not participate at practice Monday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Clowney is dealing with an apparent hamstring issue after he compiled six total tackles (five solo), including a season-high 2.0 sacks, in the team's 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Thanksgiving. The defensive lineman will have two more chances to return to practice prior to Thursday's matchup with the Lions.
