  • Kader Kohou CB | KC

Chiefs' Kader Kohou: Not playing Saturday

Kohou (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Kohou suffered a knee injury at some point in practice and will not be available for Saturday's showdown. The slot cornerback was medically cleared in March from the partially torn ACL he suffered in July of 2025. Another knee injury for the 27-year-old is not a good sign, and it is unclear how long Kohou will miss due to the issue. Jadon Canady will likely see an increase in snaps at cornerback while Kohou is absent.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

49ers' Mike Evans: Working in team drills Saturday

Evans (quadriceps) participated in team drills during Saturday's training camp practice, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Evans has slowly been working his way back from a quad strain that he sustained in early August. He was cleared to participate in individual drills prior to Thursday's preseason opener against the Titans, which he did not suit up for. Evans' ability to work in team drills is a positive sign, and he would be on track to play against the Chargers on Thursday if the 49ers' starters suit up for that contest.

  • Marques Sigle SAF | SF

    49ers' Marques Sigle: Practices Saturday

Sigle (oblique) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Sigle suffered an oblique injury during last Thursday's preseason contest against the Titans. The strong safety's full participation in Saturday's session implies he has moved past the issue and will be ready for next Thursday's preseason game against the Chargers. Sigle logged two tackles (one solo) against the Titans before finishing his night due to the oblique issue.

  • Nick Martin LB | SF

    49ers' Nick Martin: Practicing Saturday

Martin (stinger) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Martin suffered a stinger during Thursday's preseason opener against the Titans. The linebacker totaled five tackles (three solo) in the contest and appears to have recovered from the issue quickly. With such a quick injury turnaround, Martin is likely set to play in next Thursday's preseason contest against the Chargers.

  • 49ers' Kurtis Rourke: Practices Saturday

Rourke (ribs) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Rourke was hospitalized during Thursday night's preseason opener against the Titans due to shortness of breath caused by a rib injury. The quarterback's return to practice just two days after the issue is a strong sign that he is past the issue and set to back up Brock Purdy and Mac Jones. Rourke will likely see significant snaps in next Thursday's preseason showdown with the Chargers.

  • Nate Evans CB | CLE

Browns' Nate Evans: Exits with quadriceps issue

Evans (quadriceps) will not return to Saturday's preseason game against the Bears, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Evans logged one solo tackle before his exit. The cornerback's absence is compounded by Michael Coats' (ankle) early exit as well. With Damarri Mathis (undisclosed) and Tyron Herring (undisclosed) already on season-ending injured reserve, a thin cornerback room has just gotten thinner one week into preseason. The Browns will likely look to add a defensive back to the room in the coming days.

  • Browns' Michael Coats: Exits game after pick

Coats (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's preseason game against the Bears.

Coats picked off Tyson Bagent in the second quarter as the two-minute warning hit. The cornerback put together a strong half of football before the injury, adding two solo tackles to the box score. It is unclear how severe Coats' injury is, but Saturday's performance may have earned him a shot at making the 53-man roster if he can recover from the issue promptly.

  • Bengals' McKinnley Jackson: DNP on Saturday

Jackson (ankle) did not participate in Saturday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions. It is unclear how long the defensive tackle will be out with the issue. If Jackson must miss time, Kris Jenkins could see increased rotational reps in next Saturday's preseason contest against the Bears.

  • Raiders' Brennan Jackson: Placed on injured reserve

The Raiders placed Jackson (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday.

Jackson likely sustained an injury in Thursday's preseason opener against the Cardinals. The linebacker logged two solo tackles in the contest. The 25-year-old will now miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

  • Jacob Cowing WR | SF

49ers' Jacob Cowing: Back to practice

Cowing (hip) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Cowing suffered a hip injury sometime around last Wednesday's training camp session and has been absent from team activities since. The wide receiver's return to health will give him a chance to compete in next Thursday's preseason showdown with the Chargers. Cowing is currently listed as the starting punt returner for the team, but the 25-year-old will likely need to once again show he is a capable option at receiver to make the 53-man roster.
