Eberle (pelvis) was transferred from injured reserve to long-term injured reserve Saturday, per PuckPedia. This move frees up the cap space necessary to lift Vince Dunn (upper body) from long-term injured reserve, which was done in a corresponding move. Eberle's timeline won't change -- he's expected to be out until the second half of February at a minimum while recovering from a pelvic surgery.

Eberle (pelvis) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site. Considering Eberle is expected to miss at least three months, this move doesn't come as a surprise. For now, the Kraken have opened up an extra roster spot. Eberle could move to long-term injured reserve to balance the team's cap once Vince Dunn (upper body) is ready to return from LTIR.

Eberle underwent a pelvic surgery Friday and will be out for at least three months. Eberle is a candidate for long-term injured reserve whenever the Kraken decide they need cap relief. The winger was injured Nov. 14 versus the Blackhawks. He likely won't be back prior to the 4 Nations Faceoff in February, and it's possible he's out longer than that. Andre Burakovsky has received the first opportunity on the top line with Matty Beniers and Jared McCann in Eberle's absence, but the Kraken are likely to try a number of forwards there over the course of their captain's recovery.

Eberle (lower body) isn't expected to play Wednesday and a timetable for his recovery is still being determined. "We saw a doc on Monday, we're getting a couple of other opinions, and we should probably have more in the next 24 hours - a better, clearer picture as to what we're dealing with and what that timeline will look like," GM Ron Francis said, per Julian Gaudio of The Hockey News on Wednesday. Eberle has six goals and 11 points in 17 appearances in 2024-25. He's missed Seattle's past two games due to his lower-body injury. When he's healthy, Eberle figures to serve in a top-six capacity. Ben Meyers is projected to remain in the lineup for a second straight game Wednesday due in part to Eberle's absence.

Head coach Dan Bylsma relayed that Eberle (lower body) is undergoing additional tests Tuesday to determine the extent of his injury, according to Tim Booth of the Seattle Times. Eberle has missed two consecutive games, and he'll most likely be unavailable for Wednesday's home matchup against Nashville. The right-shot winger has accounted for six goals, five assists and a plus-3 rating through 17 games. Daniel Sprong has filled a top-six role in Seattle's last two contests since being reacquired in a trade from Vancouver on Nov. 8.
