Larsson recorded two assists, two hits, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Islanders. Larsson had gone 21 contests without a point entering Thursday. He had 27 hits, 41 blocked shots, 35 shots on net and a plus-3 rating in that span, serving as an effective defensive presence despite the lack of offense. For the season, he's at five points, 43 shots, 59 blocks, 37 hits, 17 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 27 appearances in a top-pairing role.

Larsson was held off the scoresheet for the 16th straight game in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Kings. Larsson is a top-four defenseman who plays in a shutdown role, so it's not unusual for him to have long stretches without offense. This is a pretty bad slump even in that context, though he also opened last year on a 13-game drought and ended the 2023-24 campaign with no points over his last 20 outings. Overall, the 32-year-old has three points, 32 shots on net, 31 hits, 43 blocked shots, 15 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 21 contests this season.

Larsson posted an assist and five blocked shots in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Flyers. Larsson has earned all three of his points this season over the last two games, a span in which the Kraken have 13 goals as a team. The 31-year-old defenseman has been able to see a slightly smaller workload so far, averaging 21:15 of ice time per game thanks to the defensive work of the pairing of Brandon Montour and Jamie Oleksiak. In addition to his three points, Larsson has seven shots on net, eight hits, 14 blocked shots and four PIM this season.

Larsson garnered a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 7-3 win over Nashville. Larsson registered the primary assist on Ryker Evans' first-period marker before sealing the victory with an empty-net goal late in the third. Larsson added three shots, one hit and a plus-2 rating in 21:14 of ice time. The right-shot blueliner is cemented on Seattle's top defensive pairing after signing a four-year contract with the club in September.

Larsson signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Kraken on Tuesday. Larsson was rewarded with a raise ahead of the 2024-25 season, and the 31-year-old is tied into Seattle for the next five years. The right-shot defenseman has missed just one game over the last three years, an incredible feat of durability and consistency. Larsson will continue to be a stay-at-home defenseman in a top four that features offensive blueliners Brandon Montour and Vince Dunn. Larsson should open the season on the top defensive pairing.
