Larsson signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Kraken on Tuesday. Larsson was rewarded with a raise ahead of the 2024-25 season, and the 31-year-old is tied into Seattle for the next five years. The right-shot defenseman has missed just one game over the last three years, an incredible feat of durability and consistency. Larsson will continue to be a stay-at-home defenseman in a top four that features offensive blueliners Brandon Montour and Vince Dunn. Larsson should open the season on the top defensive pairing.

Larsson (personal) has rejoined the team ahead of Tuesday's clash with Arizona, Alison Lukan of Root Sports reports. Larsson wasn't in the lineup for the Kraken's last game due to the birth of his child but is expected to retake his place on the blue line Tuesday. The defenseman isn't exactly known for his offensive upside, as evident by the fact that he is currently pointless in 14 straight contests.

Larsson (personal) will miss Friday's game against Anaheim, per Alison Lukan of Root Sports. Larsson has four goals, 18 points, 55 PIM, 154 hits and 143 blocks in 75 outings in 2023-24. Justin Schultz is set to draw back into the lineup versus the Ducks due to Larsson being unavailable.

Larsson scored a goal on two shots and went plus-3 in Monday's 4-2 win over the Flames. Larsson's tally 21 seconds into the third period ended up being the game-winner. The tally was his third point in 11 games since the All-Star break. The 31-year-old defenseman has contributed little offense while serving as the more defensive member of the Kraken's first pairing. He's at four goals, 18 points, 94 shots on net, 127 hits, 120 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a plus-13 rating through 61 appearances this season.

Larsson posted an assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and six PIM in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Wild. Larsson snapped a five-game slump with his helper on a Jordan Eberle tally in the third period. Larsson was held without a hit for the first time since Jan. 16, though the physicality hasn't helped much to offset his poor scoring performance this season. The 31-year-old defenseman is at 17 points, 91 shots on net, 119 hits, 107 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a plus-9 rating through 57 outings overall.
