  Gourde notched an assist and five PIM in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Flyers. Gourde helped out on a Jordan Eberle tally in the second period. Through five appearances, Gourde has contributed three helpers, two shots on net, five hits and 12 PIM -- he's already fought twice this season. The 32-year-old's opportunities on offense could be limited in a fourth-line role, but that's not as much of a problem when the Kraken have scored 20 goals over their five games while getting contributions all over the lineup.

  Gourde logged an assist in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Wild. Gourde helped out on linemate Tye Kartye's third-period tally. After beginning his Seattle career in a middle-six role for three years, Gourde has been bumped down to the fourth line, forming a checking trio with Kartye and Brandon Tanev. Gourde has a helper, one shot on goal, one hit, one blocked shot and seven PIM through two contests this season. He was limited to 33 points in 80 games in 2023-24, and he may struggle to reach that mark without a larger role this year.

  Gourde scored two goals, one shorthanded and the other the eventual game-winner, in Thursday's 4-3 victory over the Wild. Both tallies came in the third period, and Gourde's empty-netter with just under two minutes to play ended up being a needed insurance marker. The 32-year-old saw his production take a step backward in 2023-24, managing only 11 goals and 33 points in 80 games, but he set career highs with 156 shots on net and 156 hits and should fill a middle-six role with the Kraken again next season.

  Gourde scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and added three hits in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Jets. Gourde snapped a 19-game goal drought by tipping in a Ryker Evans shot in the second period. Gourde also fed Tye Kartye for a game-tying tally late in the frame. This was Gourde's first multi-point effort since Jan. 13. He's had a down year with nine goals, 31 points, 154 shots on net, 156 hits, 62 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 79 appearances. The 32-year-old is under contract for one more season, so he's likely to be the Kraken's third-line center again in 2024-25.

He put a pass in Brandon Tanev's wheelhouse for the Kraken's fourth goal Tuesday. Gourde is up to eight goals, 21 helpers, 145 shots on net, 148 hits, 48 blocked shots, 62 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 75 appearances in 2023-24.
