  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Not suiting up

Gostisbehere (groin) is not on the ice for warmups, indicating he'll miss Tuesday's game against the Penguins, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Gostisbehere is set for a second straight absence. The 32-year-old defenseman's next chance to play is Thursday versus the Canadiens. Alexander Nikishin will continue to play a larger role at even strength and on the power play while Gostisbehere is out.

  • Dysin Mayo D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dysin Mayo: Summoned from minors

Mayo was recalled on an emergency basis from AHL Cleveland on Tuesday.

Columbus moved Isac Lundestrom (lower body) to injured reserve in a corresponding move. Mayo could play against New Jersey on Wednesday if Brendan Smith (lower body) and Zach Werenski (lower body) are unavailable.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Moves to IR

Tanev (lower body) was put on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

Tanev will miss at least the next three games after landing on the IR list, beginning with Tuesday's matchup against New Jersey. However, it's unclear when he will be ready to return. While being limited to 11 appearances this season, he has contributed two assists, eight shots on goal, 15 blocked shots and two hits.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Not playing Wednesday

Liljegren (upper body) won't play against Minnesota on Wednesday, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Liljegren is still day-to-day and will miss his fifth straight game. He has registered four assists, 18 shots on goal, 63 blocked shots and 25 hits in 28 appearances this season. If Shakir Mukhamadullin (lower body) is unavailable to play against the Wild, Nick Leddy will probably draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the last two games.

  • Sharks' Shakir Mukhamadullin: Questionable for Wednesday's game

Mukhamadullin (lower body) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Wild, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Mukhamadullin was seemingly injured during Monday's 5-4 win over the Ducks, though it's unclear when exactly he was hurt. If the 23-year-old isn't available for Wednesday's game, Nick Leddy will draw back into the lineup.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Rare power-play helper in loss

Edmundson posted a power-play assist and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Edmundson picked up his second power-play helper of the year by assisting on Corey Perry's tally in the second period. That goal came with three seconds left with the man advantage. Edmundson remains rarely involved on the power play, and he won't be a steady source of offense in any situation, though he's on a career-best pace with 14 points over 38 contests this season. He's added 53 shots on net, 48 hits, 39 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-5 rating, so he has some appeal in deep fantasy formats this year.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Ready to roll

Lundkvist (lower body) is good to go for Wednesday's home contest against the Sabres, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.

Lundkvist won't miss any game action after taking a maintenance day Sunday. The Swedish defenseman skated next to Thomas Harley on the second pairing during Tuesday's practice. Lundkvist scored his first goal since the Stars' regular-season opener against the Blackhawks on Saturday, snapping his nine-game point drought in the process.

  • Joel Hanley D | CGY

Flames' Joel Hanley: Nabs helper in overtime win

Hanley logged an assist in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Bruins.

The Flames leaned on their top four in this contest, with Hanley seeing just 9:25 of ice time, a season-low total. He's earned three helpers over 12 outings in December for his most productive month of the campaign. Overall, the veteran blueliner has six assists, 26 shots on net, 25 PIM, 24 hits and 50 blocked shots through 36 appearances this season.

  • Blues' Colton Parayko: Manages helper Monday

Parayko notched an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Sabres.

After scoring a career-high 16 goals in 2024-25, Parayko has yet to find the back of the net nearly halfway through 2025-26. He's chipped in 11 assists over 40 contests, including four helpers across 14 outings in December. The defenseman has added 45 shots on net, 40 hits, 93 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a minus-6 rating this year. Barring a big second half, he'll finish below the 25-point mark for the first time since the shortened 2020-21 campaign.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Scores lone goal in loss

Sanderson scored a goal in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Sanderson ended a five-game slump with the tally. The 23-year-old defenseman had not had a drought longer than four contests this season prior to his most recent slump. He's now at eight goals, 27 points, 80 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances. He's on track for a career-high in goals, but his numbers are down overall from last year's 57-point effort over 80 regular-season outings.
