  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Shifts to IR

Lindholm (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.

Boston recalled Jonathan Aspirot from AHL Providence in a corresponding move. Lindholm's placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 9, meaning he can be activated whenever he is ready to return. However, he has missed seven of the last eight games and probably needs additional time to recover.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Moves to LTIR

Lundkvist (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Sunday, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.

In corresponding moves, the Stars also recalled Kyle Capobianco from AHL Texas and activated Oskar Back (undisclosed) from injured reserve. Lundkvist is week-to-week and has missed the last four games. He won't be eligible to play until at least Nov. 11 against Ottawa, but it's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup.

  • Stars' Kyle Capobianco: Recalled from AHL

Capobianco was recalled by the Stars from AHL Texas on Sunday, according to the official AHL website.

Capobianco is off to another good start with AHL Texas, scoring four points in five games so far from the blue line. The 28-year-old is coming up to join the NHL team, where he played in just one contest last season. It remains to be seen if he'll see the ice during this stint or whether he'll just serve as depth in case another injury strikes the Dallas defense corps.

  • Oskar Back C | DAL

Stars' Oskar Back: Removed from IR

Back (undisclosed) was activated from injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site.

After missing the first eight games of the campaign, Back will probably make his season debut against Nashville on Sunday. He had four goals, 16 points, 44 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and 28 hits across 73 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Golden Knights' Lukas Cormier: Racks up three points

Cormier scored a goal on two shots and added two assists in AHL Henderson's 5-2 win over San Diego on Saturday.

Cormier has four points in six games after this big performance. The 23-year-old blueliner didn't get the call-up when Noah Hanifin (lower body) landed on injured reserve, likely because Cormier wouldn't have been guaranteed ice time in the NHL. Expect Cormier to spend most of 2025-26 in the AHL as the Golden Knights look for him to improve on the nine assists he had in 19 regular-season outings last year. He missed most of that campaign due to an undisclosed injury.

  • Hurricanes' Domenick Fensore: Cruising for Wolves

Fensore scored twice on four shots in AHL Chicago's 4-3 overtime win over Manitoba on Saturday.

Fensore is up to three goals and seven points over four games to begin the year for the Wolves. The 24-year-old defenseman made two NHL appearances in 2024-25. Considering the Hurricanes' precarious injury situation on the blue line, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get a call-up if K'Andre Miller (lower body) misses more time than expected. However, Fensore appears to be behind Charles-Alexis Legault and Joel Nystrom for promotions at this early stage of the campaign, as both of those blueliners are currently helping the NHL team patch holes.

  • Flames' Hunter Brzustewicz: Nets two goals in AHL win

Brzustewicz scored twice in AHL Calgary's 4-3 win over Coachella Valley on Saturday.

Brzustewicz is showing plenty of offense early in the AHL campaign, logging three goals and three helpers over six contests. The 20-year-old defenseman still needs some time in the AHL, but if the struggling Flames start selling early this year, he could be in line for a call-up, especially if Rasmus Andersson is one of the players on the move. Like Andersson, Brzustewicz is a right-shot defenseman.

  • Artem Zub D | OTT

Senators' Artem Zub: Logs pair of helpers

Zub notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-4 rating in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Capitals.

Zub has two multi-point efforts this season, which is solid work from a defenseman who isn't known for lighting up the scoresheet. The 30-year-old has a goal, five helpers, 17 shots on net, 13 hits, 14 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-3 rating through nine outings. The offense won't last, but his all-around play could make him worth a look in deeper fantasy formats. As long as he can stay healthy -- a big if considering he's missed at least 13 games in three straight years -- he's a lock for a top-four role.

  • Cam Fowler D | STL

Blues' Cam Fowler: Sets up power-play tally

Fowler logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-3 rating in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Red Wings.

Fowler has not started 2025-26 very well, earning just two assists over eight games. He's also recorded a minus-5 rating, 15 shots on net and five blocked shots. Fowler is still on the top power-play unit for now, but Justin Faulk could take over that spot if Fowler's offense doesn't improve. Among the St. Louis blueliners, Faulk and Colton Parayko offer more all-around production than Fowler, though none of the three is a must-have option in fantasy.

  • Justin Faulk D | DET

Blues' Justin Faulk: Adds pair of assists

Faulk registered two assists, including one on the power play, and added two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Red Wings.

Faulk's first multi-point effort helped the Blues to a hot start in this game, but it didn't last. The 33-year-old blueliner is up to four points, 14 shots on net, 16 blocked shots, nine hits and a plus-1 rating over eight appearances. While he's on the second power-play unit, he's earned three of his points with the man advantage and could eventually supplant the struggling Cam Fowler on the top unit.
