  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Secures second straight win

Daccord made 31 saves in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Penguins. He also added a shorthanded assist.

Pittsburgh found the back of the net in each of the first two periods, but Daccord shut the door in the third as Seattle rallied from a 2-1 deficit. The 28-year-old netminder has appeared in four straight games -- two starts and two relief appearances -- and has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.16 GAA and .923 save percentage. Since Philipp Grubauer has struggled in January (0-4-1 with a 4.61 GAA and .828 save percentage in five outings), Daccord seems poised to reclaim the top job in the Kraken crease.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Stops 27 shots Tuesday

Markstrom stopped 27 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Panthers.

Markstrom played at an elite level in December, going 8-1-1 with a 1.30 GAA and a .937 save percentage across 10 appearances, but his numbers have regressed a bit in recent weeks. He's gone 2-1-2 with a 2.13 GAA and a .917 save percentage in five January appearances. That said, even with the regression, Markstrom remains an excellent fantasy alternative across all formats. The Devils are playing three games over the next five days, though, so it wouldn't be surprising if Markstrom gets some much-needed rest in the coming days after starting five games in a row.

  • Panthers' Spencer Knight: Earns win after shootout

Knight stopped 26 of 27 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Devils.

Knight started for the first time since Jan. 3 and secured the shootout win, giving him three wins across his last four outings. His fantasy appeal isn't very high due to his backup role, but he's proving to be a solid option between the pipes when needed. He's gone 3-2-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .908 save percentage across his past five appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Stumbles against Canadiens

Vejmelka allowed five goals on 26 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Canadiens.

Vejmelka had a rare awful outing in this one, especially considering Utah led 2-1 after the first period. He's had trouble getting positive results lately, going 2-5-1 over his last eight games while allowing 23 goals in that span. For the season, the 28-year-old netminder is 10-12-3 with a 2.48 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 27 contests. Vejmelka is likely to split time with Connor Ingram in some capacity, though it could be close to a 50-50 split if Vejmelka's performance remains shaky.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Red Wings' Ville Husso: Season continues down garbage chute

Husso made 18 saves in a 6-3 loss to San Jose on Tuesday.

He allowed five goals. Husso's game has gone down the garbage chute this season. He has a single win in eight starts, and his 3.69 GAA and .866 save percentage are the worst of his career. One word. Avoid. OK three more words. At all cost.

  • Sharks' Alexandar Georgiev: Gets second win with new team

Georgiev made 25 saves in a 6-3 win over Detroit on Tuesday.

It was just his second win in eight starts in San Jose. Georgiev has been a workhorse over the past few years, but the wheels have come completely off his game. He's 10-13-0 in 25 starts with a combined 3.44 GAA and .879 save percentage. Start Georgiev at your own peril.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Allows three goals in win

Montembeault stopped 22 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Montembeault has won four of his last six starts, though this wasn't the prettiest of efforts. He's allowed a total of 16 goals in that span while going 4-1-1. Overall, he improved to 16-15-3 with a 2.88 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 34 contests. Jakub Dobes has impressed in limited action, but Montembeault is still the Canadiens' top goalie. Montembeault is likely to get the nod Thursday in Dallas after making 35 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Stars in Montreal on Saturday.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Lets lead slip away late

Shesterkin stopped 23 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche.

Shesterkin and the Rangers were nursing a 2-1 lead for nearly 30 minutes but couldn't get it to the finish line. Artturi Lehkonen tied the game with 1:13 left in the third period and Devon Toews scored in overtime to send Shesterkin to his first defeat in three starts since he returned from an upper-body injury. He's allowed a total of six goals on 79 shots in those contests. Overall, the 29-year-old netminder is 13-15-2 with a 2.97 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 30 appearances. The Rangers wrap up their three-game road trip in Utah on Thursday.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Rough night in blue paint

Vasilevskiy made 18 saves Tuesday in a 6-2 loss to Boston.

He allowed four goals -- the most he's allowed in a game since Nov. 30 -- but it was a rough night for Vasilevskiy overall. His season numbers (2.38 GAA and .913 save percentage) are great production for a netminder that has sometimes dipped in the third quarter of the season. Vasilevskiy will bounce back.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Collects overtime win

Blackwood stopped 27 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.

It wasn't looking good for the Avalanche until Artturi Lehkonen tied the game late in the third period. Devon Toews added the game-winner in overtime, but Blackwood deserves a lot of credit for keeping the score close until the offense took over. He has won four of his six outings in January and still has yet to give up more than two goals as a member of the Avalanche. For the season, he's 15-11-4, including a 9-2-1 record with the Avalanche. He's added a 2.49 GAA and .920 save percentage over 31 appearances when accounting for his time with the Sharks. Blackwood is likely to get the nod Thursday against the Oilers, though Scott Wedgewood is healthy after a five-game absence due to a lower-body injury and may snag a start some time soon despite the Avalanche having no back-to-backs for nearly two weeks.
