Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Guarding goal Wednesday
Lindgren will protect the road net versus the Sharks on Wednesday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Lindgren has won his last three decisions, allowing nine goals on 90 shots over four appearances in that span. He'll play the second half of a back-to-back after Logan Thompson guided the Capitals to a 3-1 win over the Kings on Tuesday. The Sharks present a bit of a challenge, as they've scored 15 goals while going 3-2-0 over their last five games.

Eric Comrie G | WPG
Jets' Eric Comrie: Set to start in Montreal
Comrie will protect the road goal versus the Canadiens on Wednesday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Comrie is set to get a chance to redeem himself after giving up three goals on 14 shots in his start versus the Sabres on Monday. Things haven't gone very well for Comrie as the Jets' primary starter lately -- he's 2-4-0 with 18 goals allowed over his last six outings. The Canadiens are in the second half of a back-to-back Wednesday, which may give Comrie a bit of relief.

Sabres' Colten Ellis: Starting versus Flyers
Ellis will start in goal on the road versus the Flyers on Wednesday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Ellis won his last outing, stopping 22 of 24 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over the Wild on Saturday. Ducks' Ville Husso: Guarding home goal
Husso is expected to start at home against Utah on Wednesday, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.
Husso stopped 21 of 22 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over St. Louis on Monday. He didn't make his NHL season debut until Nov. 28 against the Kings, but Husso will appear in his fourth straight game because Anaheim is without goaltenders Petr Mrazek (lower body) and Lukas Dostal (upper body). Utah is tied for 19th in goals per game with 2.96.

Petr Mrazek G | ANA
Ducks' Petr Mrazek: Set for 2-3 week absence
Mrazek (lower body) is expected to be out of action for the next 2-3 weeks, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports Wednesday.
Mrazek was previously deemed day-to-day, but his new prognosis suggests he is dealing with something more severe. It's been a tough start to the 2025-26 campaign for the 33-year-old Czech, as he is sporting an .876 save percentage to go with a 3-3-0 record. With Lukas Dostal (upper body) on injured reserve, the Ducks will have to ride Ville Husso in the crease for the time being.
