  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

Ducks' Petr Mrazek: Classified as day-to-day

Mrazek (lower body) was deemed day-to-day Monday, according to Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.

Mrazek was injured Sunday in Chicago and wasn't in the lineup for Monday's game in St. Louis. Ville Husso got the start versus the Blues, while Vyacheslav Buteyets backed him up after being brought up from AHL San Diego earlier Monday. Considering Mrazek is dealing with a lower-body injury, he shouldn't be expected to be available for Wednesday's game versus the Mammoth, as the team will likely be very cautious with his recovery.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Set to start in Buffalo

Comrie will occupy the road crease Monday against the Sabres, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

Comrie got back into the win column Saturday in Nashville following a three-game losing streak, turning aside 20 of 22 shots in a 5-2 win. The 30-year-old netminder is 1-3-0 with a 3.29 GAA and an .887 save percentage over four starts since taking over the No. 1 job due to Connor Hellebuyck (knee) being sidelined. The Sabres are 3-2-0 in their last five games and are coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Wild on Saturday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Drawing start Monday

Vejmelka was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the road start against San Jose.

Vejmelka was relatively solid in November despite a 4-5-2 record, as he posted a 2.73 GAA and .883 save percentage. The Sharks are scoring just 2.81 goals per game this season, which is the eighth-worst mark in the league. Vejmelka drew a home start against San Jose on Oct. 17, turning aside 18 of 21 shots (.857 save percentage) en route to the victory.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Lands on non-roster list

Tolopilo (personal) was given non-roster status Monday.

In a corresponding move, Vancouver recalled Jiri Patera from AHL Abbotsford under emergency conditions. It's unclear when Tolopilo will be available to return to the lineup. With Thatcher Demko (lower body) unavailable as well, Patera will probably be Kevin Lankinen's backup in Tuesday's road game against Colorado.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: First goalie off Monday

Askarov was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Mammoth.

Askarov has been largely effective recently, outside of a performance against the Avalanche on Wednesday in which he allowed four goals on 19 shots (.789 save percentage). Across his last five starts, he's gone 4-1-0 with a 2.65 GAA and .919 save percentage. He's already made two starts against Utah this year -- one at home and one on the road -- and he went 1-1-0 with eight goals allowed on 60 shots (.867 save percentage) in those outings.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Starting against St. Louis

Husso will start Monday's road game against St. Louis, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Husso made his first start of the season for the Ducks on Friday and turned aside 23 of 27 shots (.852 save percentage) en route to a win in overtime. He entered Sunday's loss to Chicago in relief after Petr Mrazek (lower body) exited the game, and Husso was charged with a loss after allowing a goal on the only shot he faced. Mrazek won't be available in the second half of the back-to-back set, while Lukas Dostal (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday. As a result, Husso will draw the start in St. Louis, while Vyacheslav Buteyets will serve as the backup.

  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

    Ducks' Petr Mrazek: Unavailable Monday

Mrazek (lower body) won't be in the lineup for Monday's road game against St. Louis, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Mrazek will miss at least one game after being injured in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Chicago. With Mrazek and Lukas Dostal (upper body) unavailable, Ville Husso will start against the Blues on Monday. Following his recall from AHL San Diego, Vyacheslav Buteyets will be the backup.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Between pipes Monday

Binnington will tend the twine at home versus the Ducks on Monday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Binnington is undefeated in regulation over his last six outings, going 3-0-3 with a 2.75 GAA and .909 save percentage. It seems the 32-year-old netminder has done enough to reclaim the bulk of the workload, at least temporarily, after having shared the crease with Joel Hofer for much of November.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Defending crease Tuesday

Montembeault will protect the home net against Ottawa on Tuesday, according to Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette.

Montembeault stopped 30 shots in a 4-1 win over Vegas on Friday. He has a 5-5-1 record with a 3.48 GAA and an .864 save percentage through 13 appearances this season. Ottawa is tied with the Golden Knights for 15th in the league with 3.04 goals per game this campaign.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Slated to start

Luukkonen is expected to patrol the home crease against Winnipeg on Monday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Luukkonen allowed three goals on 18 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Pittsburgh, with the fourth goal being an empty-netter. He has a 3-3-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and an .891 save percentage across seven appearances this season. Winnipeg ranks 10th in the league with 3.13 goals per game this campaign.
