  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Beaten by Penguins

Gustavsson stopped 30 of 33 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins. The fourth goal was an empty-netter late in the third period.

There wasn't much Gustavsson could've done on any of the three goals he allowed -- one was a tip-in, another one came on the power play, and the remaining one was a furious slap shot. The 27-year-old has been slumping of late, going 0-3-1 over his last four starts while allowing at least three goals in each outing during that stretch.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Comes up big in shootout

Ullmark made 27 saves in regulation and overtime and turned aside both shootout attempts he faced in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Flames.

The two teams traded goals through three periods, but two of Calgary's came on power plays, and Ullmark was able to stand tall when the game eventually got to a shootout. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss in his last five starts, going 3-1-1, but after coughing up six goals in Chicago on Tuesday -- the third time already in 2025-26 he's been beaten five or more times -- Ullmark is saddled with a 3.37 GAA and .863 save percentage across 10 starts on the season.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Stops 26 shots in win

Jarry stopped 26 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.

Jarry was beaten at the 10:16 mark of the first period with a tip-in via Kirill Kaprizov, but he was outstanding the rest of the way and shut the door to limit the damage to only one goal. The Penguins gave him enough offensive support with four unanswered goals, meaning Jarry has won each of his last four starts. He's given up one or fewer goals twice during that ongoing winning streak.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Falls to Ottawa in shootout

Cooley turned aside 35 shots in regulation and overtime but failed to stop either shootout attempt he faced in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Senators.

The 28-year-old netminder was making just his second start and third appearance of the season, but Cooley did well just to earn the Flames a point in the standings, and there wasn't much he could do on any of the three pucks that got past him in regulation. Dustin Wolf is firmly entrenched as the No. 1 in net, but neither goalie will have much success behind a team that continues to flounder in its own end. Cooley is 0-1-1 and has given up six goals on 78 shots (.923 save percentage) to begin his Calgary tenure.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Hangs on for OT win

Korpisalo stopped 37 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

The Bruins got outshot 40-22 on the night, but Korpisalo was up to the challenge as he won his second straight start. The 31-year-old netminder has allowed fewer than three goals only once in his first six outings this season, going 3-3-0 with a 3.49 GAA and .882 save percentage, but Jeremy Swayman's own struggles have kept Korpisalo firmly in the mix in the Boston crease.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Comes up short in OT

Lyon made 18 saves in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Buffalo outshot the home squad 40-22 on the night, but Boston made its chances count in regulation and then got the only three shots on net in OT. Lyon's strong start to the season may be fading -- he's allowed 14 goals on 125 shots (.888 save percentage) while going 1-1-2 over his last four outings, as he works in a timeshare with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Drops result in shootout

Kuemper allowed three goals on 27 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Red Wings.

Kuemper hasn't lost in regulation over his last six games, but he's just 3-0-3 in that span. This was likely a better result than he deserved, as the Kings trailed 3-1 late in the third period before the offense woke up to force overtime. Kuemper is now at a 3-2-3 record with a 2.82 GAA and an .894 save percentage over eight appearances. The Kings have tough matchups for the rest of this homestand, as they'll host the Devils on Saturday, the Jets on Tuesday and the Panthers on Thursday before hitting the road.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Late lapses in shootout win

Talbot stopped 35 of 38 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kings.

Talbot squandered a two-goal lead over the final 2:13 of regulation. The Kings also looked to have a goal in overtime, but it was taken off the board for goalie interference, and the Red Wings went on to win in the shootout after Talbot turned aside all three attempts. Overall, it was a much better performance for the 38-year-old after he was torched for seven goals on 30 shots against the Islanders last Thursday. Talbot is now 4-1-0 with a 2.94 GAA and an .897 save percentage over six outings. John Gibson will start in Anaheim on Friday, but it remains to be seen how the goaltending workload will shake out in Detroit, though it appears head coach Todd McLellan has mostly gone with a hot-hand approach.

  • Jake Allen G | NJ

Devils' Jake Allen: Poor showing in San Jose

Allen stopped 23 of 28 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.

The Sharks jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Devils got on the board. Allen had won his first five decisions this season, but this was a much poorer showing, and it comes just after Jacob Markstrom's disastrous return from a lower-body injury in Colorado. Allen is at a 5-1-0 record with a 2.39 GAA and a .906 save percentage through seven outings. The next few games could be pivotal for determining the workload split in the Devils' crease. They visit the Kings on Saturday and the Ducks on Sunday, so expect both Allen and Markstrom to each draw a start to close out this road trip.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Grabs second win

Nedeljkovic stopped 29 of 31 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Devils.

Nedeljkovic had arguably his best start of the season, aided by a three-goal first period for the Sharks. The 29-year-old netminder has won back-to-back outings to improve to 2-2-1 on the year. He still has an unpleasant 3.60 GAA and an .887 save percentage over five outings, and he was recently on the bench for three straight games. Nedeljkovic's fantasy value is already low and will drop some more if Yaroslav Askarov is starting a majority of the time. Both goalies should get a turn in a tough weekend back-to-back as the Sharks host the Avalanche on Saturday and the Red Wings on Sunday.
