Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Suffers fourth straight loss
Sorokin stopped 36 of 40 shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Sorokin started both games during the Isles' back-to-back set, but he was underwhelming and allowed eight goals on 61 shots faced over that span. The 30-year-old netminder has lost each of his past four outings while posting a 5.02 GAA and a woeful .852 save percentage over that stretch. Considering he has made 11 starts in a row (4-7-0, 3.18 GAA, .891 save percentage), it wouldn't be surprising if he gets a breather at some point in the coming days, although the Isles now have three days off before facing the Maple Leafs on Thursday.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Cruises to win Saturday
Silovs made 19 saves in Saturday's 9-4 rout of the Panthers.
The game was actually tied 2-2 heading into the first intermission, but Pittsburgh blew the game open in the second while chasing Sergei Bobrovsky from the Florida crease. Silovs has been getting plenty of offensive support over the last month, and he's needed it -- over his last eight starts he's gone 5-3-0 despite a rough 3.92 GAA and .842 save percentage.

Daniil Tarasov G | FLA
Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Needed in relief Saturday
Tarasov turned aside nine of 12 shots after replacing Sergei Bobrovsky midway through the second period of Saturday's 9-4 rout at the hands of the Penguins.
Neither goalie had much success behind the Panthers' injury-depleted blue line, as the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions were officially eliminated from the playoffs. Tarasov has just one win in his last six outings, going 1-4-0 with a rough 4.46 GAA and .873 save percentage.

Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets hook as Cats get eliminated
Bobrovsky gave up six goals on 19 shots before being replaced by Daniil Tarasov midway through the second period of Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Penguins.
In the process, the Panthers were officially eliminated from the playoff race, ending their chance at a Stanley Cup threepeat. Bobrovsky is limping to the finish line of a disappointing campaign, allowing at least four goals in three of his last six starts while going 3-3-0 with a 3.24 GAA and .871 save percentage.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Takes tough loss against Avs
DeSmith stopped 20 of 21 shots in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Colorado, with the Avalanche's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
DeSmith and Scott Wedgewood were locked in a scoreless goaltending duel for 50-plus minutes, until Martin Necas tapped home a slick pass from Artturi Lehkonen midway through the third period. DeSmith has been playing well over the last few weeks but hasn't gotten much offensive support, posting a 2.61 GAA and .901 save percentage over his last five outings but going 0-4-1 as the Stars have averaged just 2.0 goals in those contests.

Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Blanks Stars in huge win
Wedgewood turned aside 17 shots in Saturday's 2-0 win over Dallas.
The shutout was Wedgewood's third of the season, and the win gave the Avalanche an eight-point lead in the Central Division over their chief rivals, all but locking up the top seed in the NHL playoffs. The 33-year-old journeyman has found a home behind Colorado's stingy defense, and he hasn't given up more than three goals in an outing since the Olympic break, going 8-2-1 over his last 11 starts with an eye-popping 1.59 GAA and .937 save percentage.

Linus Ullmark G | OTT
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Tamed by Wild
Ullmark stopped 19 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota.
The Senators' offense couldn't solve Jesper Wallstedt until late in the third period, giving Ullmark no margin for error. Ullmark is stumbling at a bad time for Ottawa as his team fights to hang onto a wild-card spot -- over his last four outings, he's gone 1-2-1 while coughing up 13 goals on only 101 shots (.871 save percentage).

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Sharp in Saturday's win
Wallstedt made 33 saves in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Wallstedt nearly recorded his fifth shutout of the season, but Drake Batherson banged a rebound past the 23-year-old netminder with just over three minutes left in the third period. Wallstedt hasn't allowed more than three goals in an outing since February, going 2-2-2 over his last seven appearances with a dazzling 1.95 GAA and .929 save percentage.

Yaroslav Askarov G | SJ
Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Falters in important game
Askarov stopped 28 of 33 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Predators. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Askarov gave up three goals in the first period, but the Sharks overcame that deficit by the 1:06 mark of the third. After that, Askarov allowed goals to Ryan O'Reilly and Erik Haula (shorthanded), squandering the chance to secure his first win against the team that drafted him 11th overall in 2020. Askarov is down to 21-18-3 with a 3.56 GAA and an .885 save percentage over 44 outings this season. The Sharks' next game is at home Monday versus the Blackhawks.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Grabs another key win
Saros stopped 24 of 27 shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
Saros was spotted a 3-0 lead after one period, but he couldn't make that one stick. The Sharks rallied to tie the game early in the third period, but Saros locked down the net as the Predators bounced right back with another three unanswered goals. This was his fifth win in his last six outings, a span in which he's given up 19 goals on 190 shots. The 30-year-old netminder is up to 28-20-7 with a 3.14 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 56 starts. The ratios matter far less than the victories for Saros and the Predators at this stage of the season, and he'll get the bulk of the starts in net as the team makes a final push to get into the playoffs. Nashville's road trip continues Monday with another huge matchup against the Kings, whom Saros defeated in a shootout Thursday.
