  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Subpar effort in loss Tuesday

Oettinger stopped 23 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Blue Jackets. The sixth goal was an empty-netter with 32 seconds left in the third period.

Oettinger was beaten just 30 seconds into the game by Kirill Marchenko, and things went downhill from there. He allowed two goals in each of the first and second frames and also conceded a goal in the early stages of the third. This was only the third time he gave up five or more goals in a game this season, and the star goaltender will aim to bounce back the next time he's tabbed with defending the Stars' crease. Dallas' upcoming two games will be against the Kings and Blues on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

  • Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Hung out to dry by teammates

Nedeljkovic made 32 saves in a 6-1 loss to the Flyers on Tuesday.

This wasn't on Ned -- the Pens were soundly outplayed in every aspect of the game. They didn't win any puck battles, and they coughed up the puck far too many times. Nedeljkovic has lost both starts since the 4 Nations break, and he has allowed 11 goals. Keep him on your bench until his team figures out it's in the NHL now. He can't win the games alone.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Third straight win

Ersson made 23 saves in a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

The only goal that got past Ersson came off the stick of Philip Tomasino in the second period, who took a saucer pass to the net before going forehand to backhand around his right pad. Ersson has won three consecutive starts, he's 3-1-1 with a 2.20 GAA and a .926 save percentage in his last five games. But his strong play started long ago -- he's 12-5-1 in his last 18 starts dating back to Dec. 21. Ersson is developing into a solid number one netminder.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Strong showing in loss

Soderblom stopped 34 of 36 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Utah.

This was Soderblom's best game recently, but it wasn't enough to prevent his losing streak from reaching five games (0-3-2). The 25-year-old looked sharp but gave up goals to Clayton Keller and Lawson Crouse. Soderblom is now at 7-14-5 with a 3.02 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 27 appearances. Notably, this was his second start in a row. It's unclear if this is a signal of him pushing Petr Mrazek for the No. 1 job or just a one-off coaching decision by interim bench boss Anders Sorensen. The Blackhawks' road trip continues with a challenging visit to Vegas on Thursday.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Allows just one goal in win

Vejmelka allowed a goal on 22 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Vejmelka won his third outing in a row and has given up just four goals on 70 shots in that span. The goal against was a Seth Jones shot from the top of the circle on the power play in the first period. Vejmelka improved to 15-15-4 with a 2.48 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 36 appearances. With Vejmelka playing well and Connor Ingram struggling a bit, the balance of playing time in Utah's crease may be shifting in favor of the former. Utah hosts Minnesota on Thursday.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Falls to Panthers

Saros allowed four goals on 25 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers.

Saros stole a win from the Avalanche on Saturday, but he couldn't double up against high-end teams. The Panthers opened a 2-0 lead through two periods and scored twice more in the third after the Predators got on the board. This was Saros' sixth loss in his last seven NHL games. He's now a pitiful 12-24-6 with a 2.93 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 43 appearances this season. He remains in a large role simply because Justus Annunen hasn't been any better most of the time. The Predators have another tough matchup on tap when they close out this homestand versus the Jets on Thursday.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Strong start wasted

Swayman made 24 saves in a 5-4 overtime loss to Toronto on Tuesday.

The Bruins gave Swayman a three-goal cushion by the midpoint of the second period before the Maple Leafs turned up the heat and roared back to force OT. Swayman has been one of the busiest netminders in 2025, making 427 saves. He's behind only Andrei Vaskilevskiy (479) and Joey Daccord (427) more the most saves since 2025 started.

  • Panthers' Spencer Knight: Cruises to win

Knight stopped 18 of 19 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.

Knight's winning streak is up to three games, and he's allowed just six goals in that span. The Predators' Michael McCarron scored at 4:30 of the third period to break up the shutout bid, but Knight held firm after that. For the season, Knight improved to 12-8-1 with a 2.40 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 23 appearances. The Panthers are back at home for their next game, which is Thursday against the scuffling Oilers.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Third straight win

Stolarz made 32 saves in a 5-4 overtime victory over Boston on Tuesday.

The Bruins went up 3-0 by the halfway point of the second period before the Leafs queued their comeback. Stolarz made an incredible save in overtime on Mason Lohrei before the Leafs took off, and Mitch Marner scored on a breakaway to win the game. The win was his third straight, and his second since his return from the 4 Nations break. Overall, Stolarz is 12-5-2 in 20 starts with a sparkling 2.23 GAA and .926 save percentage. Expect him to split time with Joseph Woll until season's end so both men are rested and ready for the postseason.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Pulled in Tuesday's loss

Daccord allowed five goals on 21 shots in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Blues.

Daccord was pulled for Niklas Kokko about midway through the contest. It was the second time all season Daccord had given up five goals in a game. The 28-year-old's record dropped to 20-15-3 with a 2.55 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 40 appearances. He continues to handle a heavy workload as the Kraken's starter, though the team may be interested in getting Kokko more looks since any hope of a playoff berth is growing faint. The Kraken are back home against the Canucks on Saturday.
