Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Facing Predators
Mrazek will patrol the home crease versus Nashville on Friday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Mrazek is on a three-game losing streak, going 0-2-1 while allowing 12 goals on 119 shots (.899 save percentage). Mrazek is 9-18-2 with a 3.32 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 30 appearances this season. The Predators are generating 2.60 goals per game, 29th in the NHL.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Falls to Utah in OT
Merzlikins made 30 saves in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Utah.
There wasn't much Merzlikins could do on the game-winner -- Connor Ingram cleared the puck from his own end off the glass with less than a minute left in overtime, and it took a wild bounce off the glass to spring Dylan Guenther for a breakaway. Even then, Merzlikins denied Guenther's initial shot, but he couldn't get in front of the rebound. Merzlikins has dropped three straight decisions, but he's given up more than three goals only once in his last eight outings, going 4-3-1 over that stretch with a 2.38 GAA and .916 save percentage.

Alex Nedeljkovic G | SJ
Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Tending twine Friday
Nedeljkovic will guard the visiting net versus the Rangers on Friday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Nedeljkovic is 2-1-1 in his last four starts, allowing six goals on 103 shots, including a 3-0 shutout win over Nashville on Saturday. Overall, he is 11-9-5 with a 2.97 GAA and an .899 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. The Rangers are averaging 2.98 goals per game during the 2024-25 campaign, which ranks 14th in the NHL.

Connor Ingram G | EDM
Hockey Club's Connor Ingram: Back in win column Thursday
Ingram turned aside 20 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
An Ivan Provorov shorthanded tally inside the final minute of the second period tied the game at 2-2, but Ingram stood tall down the stretch and even got rewarded with an assist when Dylan Guenther collected the netminder's clearing attempt off the glass and scored an overtime winner for the second straight contest. Ingram hasn't picked up a win since Jan. 20, and in seven outings since returning from an upper-body injury in mid-January, the 27-year-old goalie has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .910 save percentage.

Jake Allen G | NJ
Devils' Jake Allen: Overwhelmed by Vegas
Allen stopped a season-high 37 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Vegas dominated the game after a scoreless first period, and New Jersey wound up getting outshot 40-15 on the night. Given the circumstances, Allen did well just to keep the final score close. The veteran netminder has shouldered a heavy workload while Jacob Markstrom (knee) has been on the shelf, seeing action in six of the last seven games and going 3-3-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .921 save percentage. Markstrom may not be back until sometime in March, but Allen will be able to recharge his batteries during the break for the 4 Nationals Face-Off.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Expected to start Friday
Shesterkin was the first netminder off the ice at morning skate, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports, and is slated to patrol the home crease versus Pittsburgh on Friday.
Shesterkin snapped a three-game losing streak Wednesday, stopping 15 shots in a 3-2 victory over Boston. Shesterkin is 18-18-2 with a 2.86 GAA and a .906 save percentage. He has been inconsistent this season and thus far it's his worst year in the NHL during his six-season career. The Penguins are generating 2.87 goals per game, 17th in the NHL this season.

Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Not busy in Thursday's win
Hill made 14 saves in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Devils.
The Golden Knights dominated the game after a scoreless first period and wound up outshooting the home squad 40-15 on the night. Hill lost his shutout bid on a New Jersey power play with just under six minutes left in the final frame, but it was still a strong showing for the 28-year-old netminder. Hill has just two wins in his last seven outings, going 2-3-2 over that stretch with a 3.02 GAA and .888 save percentage, and he may be slipping into a timeshare with Ilya Samsonov.

Vitek Vanecek G | UTA
Sharks' Vitek Vanecek: Strong showing in overtime loss
Vanecek stopped 22 of 24 shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Canucks.
Vanecek kept the Canucks' off the board for over two periods. Macklin Celebrini's two mistakes in the contest -- a delay-of-game minor in the third period and a hooking call that led to a penalty shot in overtime -- resulted in both of Vancouver's goals. Vanecek hadn't played since Dec. 14 or suited up since Dec. 17, when he suffered a fractured cheekbone on the bench during a game against the Jets. Now that he's healthy, he'll push Alexandar Georgiev for playing time, though if both goalies struggle, Yaroslav Askarov could get another look at the NHL level. Vanecek is 3-8-2 with a 3.70 GAA and a .887 save percentage over 15 appearances this season.

Thatcher Demko G | VAN
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Stellar in win
Demko stopped 33 of 34 shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.
Demko came within 1:28 of a shutout, but he had to settle for the overtime win. It was still a strong outing -- he's won three of his last four starts while allowing just five goals in that span. The 29-year-old seems to have shaken off the rust of a long-term knee injury that prevented him from playing for two months to begin the season. The netminder is now 6-6-3 with a 2.90 GAA and an .889 save percentage over 16 starts. The Canucks' last game before the 4 Nations Face-Off break is Saturday at home versus the Maple Leafs.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Surrenders three goals in loss
Daccord stopped 27 of 30 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Daccord was defeated for the third game in a row (0-2-1), and he's allowed 10 goals on 105 shots in that span. He's largely taken care of business against weaker opponents, but four of his last five regulation losses have come against teams firmly in playoff spots. Daccord is now 18-14-3 with a 2.51 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 37 appearances. The Kraken play once more prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off break -- they visit the Flames on Saturday. Daccord's current skid began with a 3-2 loss to Calgary on Sunday, but he played well by stopping 32 of 35 shots in that outing.
