  • Bills' Mack Hollins: Blanked in Week 2 win

Hollins didn't catch his only target in Thursday's 31-10 win over the Dolphins. Hollins scored a touchdown in his Bills debut last week, but Buffalo's four TDs on Thursday came courtesy of three scores from running back James Cook and a pick-six by the defense. Josh Allen and the passing game took a back seat, as Khalil Shakir (five catches for 54 yards) and tight end Dalton Kincaid (four catches for 33 yards) were the only Bills to catch multiple passes. Shakir has an early edge in involvement over Hollins, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but a defined pecking order has yet to be established in Buffalo's new-look wide receiver room. Hollins will look to bounce back Week 3 against the Jaguars.

  • Bills' Mack Hollins: Hits pay dirt against Cardinals

Hollins caught both of his targets 25 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals. Hollins' touchdown was an 11-yard catch from quarterback Josh Allen to help tie the game at 17 early in the third quarter. The veteran wideout played the second-most offensive snaps (36) behind just Keon Coleman (45) and ahead of Khalil Shakir (33), Curtis Samuel (17) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (13). After one game, it appears that Hollins could step into a more prominent role in Buffalo's new-look passing attack, however, he could see inconsistent usage with so many mouths to feed in the offense. The 30-year-old's two targets trailed both Coleman and Shakir, who saw five and three targets, respectively. Hollins' will hope to stay involved in Week 2 when the Bills visit the Dolphins in a Week 2 divisional showdown.

  • Bills' Mack Hollins: Returns to practice

Hollins (leg) will practice Monday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports. Hollins missed Saturday's preseason contest against the Bears due to a lingering leg injury, but he's now ready to retake the practice field. The veteran journeyman is competing for the No. 4 wide receiver gig behind Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel, so it would help Hollins' case if he's able to suit up and put forth a good showing during Saturday's upcoming road exhibition matchup at Pittsburgh.

  • Bills' Mack Hollins: Misses practice with leg injury

Hollins (leg) is not practicing Thursday, NFL.com reports. The severity of Hollins' injury remains undisclosed, but it could well impact his availability for Saturday's preseason matchup against the Bears. Coach Sean McDermott has stated that Josh Allen and the starting offense will get some action Saturday, so sitting out would be a notable opportunity missed for Hollins. The big-bodied journeyman is competing with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, KJ Hamler and Chase Claypool (toe) for a depth role in Buffalo's wide receiver room.

  • Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges

Hollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool. For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed, and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though it should be noted that he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

  • Bills' Mack Hollins: Joining Buffalo

Hollins agreed to a contract with the Bills on Wednesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Hollins enjoyed a mini-breakout for the Raiders in 2022 with 690 receiving yards -- more than tripling his previous season high -- but then dropped to 251 yards in 13 games with the Falcons in 2023. Though he's valued for his blocking and special teams contributions as much as his receiving ability, Hollins could take some of the snaps and targets that previously went to Gabe Davis, who is leaving Buffalo to sign with Jacksonville. In any case, it's almost a certainty the Bills will be targeting a wide receiver with an early pick in April's draft.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Ends 2023 poorly

Hollins finished 2023 with 18 receptions on 30 targets for 251 yards across 13 appearances. After a breakout 2022 with the Raiders (57 receptions for 690 yards and four touchdowns -- all career highs), Hollins landed a one-year deal with Atlanta last offseason and was expected to be the No. 2 option behind Drake London. Over his first nine appearances of 2023, Hollins caught 17 of 29 targets for 247 yards, but his playing time started to dwindle before he missed four out of five games between Weeks 10 and 15 due to an ankle injury. He made one appearance during that stretch, catching his lone target for four yards. Hollins played 45 snaps over the final three weeks but didn't generate a single target. Hollins is one of numerous wideouts set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so the Falcons, who'll have a new head coach after Arthur Smith was fired immediately after the blowout Week 18 loss to New Orleans, may opt to completely revamp their pass-catching corps again in 2024.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Scratched Sunday

Hollins (coach's decision) is listed as inactive for Sunday's tilt against the Panthers. Hollins returned from a three-game absence to play six offensive snaps (nine percent) and 15 on special teams (47 percent) en route to one reception for four yards in Week 14. However, Atlanta will opt to go with thin depth at receiver in Week 14 in favor of more depth elsewhere.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Back in action against Tampa Bay

Hollins has returned to Sunday's Week 14 contest against the Buccaneers after departing earlier due to an ankle injury, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports. Hollins has been battling an ankle issue since early November and missed three games due to the injury. He departed in the first quarter of Sunday's contest and was initially labeled as questionable to return but has since reentered the game. Hollins hasn't exceeded three catches in any game this season, making him a fantasy option only in very deep leagues.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Questionable to return

Hollins (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. The wide receiver was questionable with the same injury going into the day. Hollins did not record a catch before exiting. The veteran has 17 catches for 247 yards and no touchdowns in 2023.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Will play Sunday

Hollins (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. As expected, Hollins has been cleared to suit up for the first time since Week 9. However, his role remains a mystery. Hollins opened the season as the No. 2 wideout behind Drake London, but his role was decreasing before his multi-week absence. With Hollins sidelined, Van Jefferson, KhaDarel Hodge and Scott Miller were splitting snaps, but they were unable to deliver consistent production. Hollins should see the field in Week 14, but he'll likely need to find the end zone to submit a quality fantasy performance.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Technically questionable, should play

Hollins (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, despite being a full practice participant Wednesday through Friday. Hollins is on track to play for the first time since Week 9, though he may not take a lot of snaps and probably won't see many targets even if he does. The Falcons have rotated wide receivers behind Drake London in recent weeks, with Van Jefferson typically getting the most snaps but having minimal impact on the box scores.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Inactive again

Hollins (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Jets, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Hollins logged two limited sessions during Week 13 prep - one more than last week - but will remain sidelined for a third straight game. He hasn't played since Week 9 against the Vikings, when he caught three passes for 36 yards, but even when he's cleared to return, Hollins won't hold much fantasy value as the third- or fourth pass-catching option in one of the worst passing offenses in the NFL.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Stays limited Thursday

Hollins (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Amna Subhan of the Falcons' official site reports. Hollins appears to be in a better spot than last week, when he managed just one limited listing on Atlanta's injury report before being ruled out ahead of this past Sunday's contest against the Saints. With a pair of capped showings so far during Week 13 prep, he may be putting himself in a position for his first game action since Week 9. Friday's report will reveal whether or not Hollins enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's visit to the Jets.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Not practicing Thursday

Hollins (ankle) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports. Hollins operated with a cap on his reps Wednesday, so his downgrade in activity one day later is a worrisome sign for his potential to play Week 12. Friday's injury report could be telling for Hollins in that regard.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: On track for limited practice

Hollins (ankle) will be a limited participant at practice Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Hollins didn't practice at all ahead of the Falcons' Week 10 loss to the Cardinals, but after Atlanta's Week 11 bye, the wideout is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. If Hollins is able to return to action this weekend, he'll only be an option in deeper fantasy formats. Through nine games this season, Hollins has generated a 17-247-0 receiving line on 29 targets.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Not practicing

Hollins (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Arizona. Hollins lost playing time to Van Jefferson and KhaDarel Hodge the past couple weeks and now will miss his first game of the season. It shouldn't have much impact on Atlanta's gameplan, especially with Drake London cleared to return after missing Week 9 with a groin injury. Hollins stands a decent chance to avoid additional absences with the Falcons on bye Week 11.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Not at practice

Hollins (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. Hollins' absence isn't surprising after head coach Arthur Smith said Monday that the wideout's ankle injury was the most worrisome of the new injuries acquired during a loss to the Vikings on Sunday. In any case, Hollins had been minimized in the offense in recent weeks, only reappearing as a significant contributor this past Sunday because Drake London (groin) was inactive. London returned to practice Wednesday, and the Falcons also seem to view KhaDarel Hodge and Van Jefferson as either ahead of Hollins or on similar footing.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Season-low 14 offensive snaps

Hollins caught two of three targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans. Hollins played at least 65 percent of the team's offensive snaps in each of the first four weeks, including a season-high 79 percent against the Jaguars in Week 4. However, his playing time has dropped since, culminating in a season-low 14 offensive snaps versus Tennessee. The wideout actually played more on special teams (25 snaps) than he did on offense Sunday. This is especially concerning given Drake London (groin) left the game in the third quarter and never returned. Hollins doesn't need to be on fantasy radars in standard leagues until he proves otherwise.

  • Falcons' Mack Hollins: Not targeted in win

Hollins failed to record a single target in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers. Hollins was held without a target for the first time Sunday, as the receiver continued to see a drop in playing time. The veteran wideout has now played fewer than 30 offensive snaps in three straight games and played behind Drake London and Van Jefferson in the contest. It is possible that Jefferson's presence could limit Hollins' opportunities going forward, making the latter even more difficult to trust for fantasy purposes. The 30-year-old will look to bounce back in Week 8 when the Falcons visit the Titans.
