The Ravens signed Ngakoue to their 53-man roster Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. • Yannick Ngakoue: Back with Baltimore

The Ravens signed Ngakoue to their practice squad Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Ngakoue's time on the practice squad will likely be limited, as the 29-year-old is expected to be added to Baltimore's active roster once he ramps up his workload and gets reacquainted with the team's defense. The Maryland product was most recently with the Bears, recording 22 total tackles and four sacks across 11 games in 2023.

  • Bears' Yannick Ngakoue: Breaks ankle, season over

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that Ngakoue will miss the remainder of the season after fracturing his ankle, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Ngakoue presumably suffered the injury in Sunday's 28-13 win over the Lions, though Eberflus didn't confirm as much. In any event, the 28-year-old edge rusher's season will come to a close with 22 tackles (13 solo) and four sacks over 13 appearances. The Bears will likely install either DeMarcus Walker or Rasheem Green as a starter at defensive end opposite Montez Sweat with Ngakoue done for the season. Ngakoue is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason.

Ngakoue (back) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. • Bears' Yannick Ngakoue: Collects first sack with Chicago

Ngakoue recorded four tackles and a sack in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Packers. The veteran posted 9.5 and 10 sacks in each of the last two seasons, and as Chicago's lead pass rusher, he could flirt with similar numbers this season.

  • Ravens' Yannick Ngakoue: Dealt to Baltimore

The Ravens acquired Ngakoue from the Vikings on Thursday in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The edge rusher will join his third team in three months after the Vikings acquired him from Jacksonville in late August, giving up a 2021 second-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round selection in the deal. With Minnesota sitting at 1-5 and facing an uphill battle to reach the postseason, the team has elected to move on from Ngakoue while getting most of its draft capital back in the deal. According to Schefter, Ngakoue will arrive in Baltimore in the next 24 hours to undergo COVID-19 testing, and if cleared, he should be ready to make his Ravens debut Nov. 1 against the Steelers coming off the team's Week 7 bye. Despite Minnesota's collective struggles, Ngakoue was productive as a pass rusher during his six games with the club, logging 13 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles.
