  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Nabs one catch in Week 3 victory

Bellinger caught his only target for 17 yards against Cleveland in Sunday's 21-15 win. Bellinger's lone target and reception went for 17 yards early in the third quarter. While he did log a season-high 26 offensive snaps, that number was well behind the 58 offensive snaps accumulated by No. 1 tight end Theo Johnson. Overall, Bellinger has just two catches (both of which he has caught for 20 total yards) through three weeks, making him a non-factor in fantasy.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Dealing with minor injury

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Bellinger has been limited during spring practices due to an undisclosed injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Bellinger's outlook for 2024 improved earlier this week after incumbent starter Darren Waller announced his retirement Monday, leaving Bellinger as the tentative No. 1 option on the depth chart at tight end. The Giants also have rookie fourth-round pick Theo Johnson as a potential receiving threat at the position, but Bellinger should handle most of the first-team reps at the start of training camp. Daboll downplayed the injury Wednesday, so he seemingly expects Bellinger to be ready to go for camp.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Posts decent numbers again Week 17

Bellinger finished Sunday's loss to the Rams with four catches on four targets for 39 yards. Darren Waller logged more targets (six), catches (five) and yards (51) than Bellinger, but the latter still had a reasonably productive performance. Bellinger's longest catch went for 18 yards, and he also had a 14-yard reception that he immediately followed with a nine-yard catch on the following play. Waller has undoubtedly been the better fantasy asset when healthy this season, but Bellinger has come on strong even with Waller able to suit up over the past two weeks, putting up an 8-82-0 line on nine targets. The Giants have little to play for in their season finale against Philadelphia next weekend, so the team could opt to relax the veteran Waller's workload, which could benefit Bellinger to some extent against a defense that has been middle-of-the-pack against tight ends this season.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Nabs two catches as Waller's backup

Bellinger caught both of his targets or 13 yards in Sunday's 24-6 Week 15 loss to New Orleans. Bellinger worked as New York's starting tight end while Waller was on IR with a hamstring injury between Week 9 and Week 14, but he returned to a backup role with the latter returning Sunday. Bellinger averaged a modest 2.2 receptions for 27.6 yards during his five-game starting stint, and he wasn't far off those numbers while working behind Waller against the Saints. Waller appeared to come out of the contest in good health, so Bellinger should again see limited receiving opportunities next Monday against the Eagles.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Nabs two caches in Week 14 win

Bellinger caught both of his targets for 15 yards Monday in a 24-22 win over the Packers. Bellinger saw modest opportunity in the contest, but he still finished third on the Giants in receiving yards. The second-year tight end continues to fill in for the injured Darren Waller (hamstring, IR), though Bellinger hasn't come close to matching Waller's pass-catching prowess, as he hasn't surpassed three receptions in any game so far this season. Waller ran routes on the field earlier this week, and if he is able to return to the action before the end of the campaign, Bellinger's opportunities as a receiver would logically shrink.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Misses practice with illness

Bellinger didn't practice Friday due to an illness, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Assuming the ailment isn't too significant, Bellinger could still return to the field Saturday for the Giants' final Week 14 practice, which would clear up any concern about his status heading into Monday's game against Green Bay. While Darren Waller (hamstring) has been sidelined for the Giants' last four games before the team's Week 13 bye, Bellinger had served as New York's top tight end and compiled a 9-123-0 receiving line on 10 targets. The Giants have yet to designate Waller for return from injured reserve as of Friday, so Bellinger will presumably be in store for another sizable snap count Monday if he can overcome the illness.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Leading receiver in blowout loss

Bellinger caught two of three targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 49-17 loss to the Cowboys. The tight end actually led the Giants in receiving yards on the day, as undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito managed only 86 passing yards. Bellinger also lost a chance to have a better fantasy day when No. 2 TE Lawrence Cager caught a 10-yard touchdown in the second half. Darren Waller (hamstring) won't be eligible to return from IR until after the team's Week 13 bye, but with DeVito under center, Bellinger doesn't figure to offer much production, even if he continues to start at tight end.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Maximizes low target count

Bellinger corralled all three of his targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 30-6 loss to Las Vegas. Bellinger's three targets ranked fifth behind Saquon Barkley and the Giants' three starting receivers, but the tight end did more with less and finished second in yardage for New York on Sunday. Starting quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) went down early in this contest and had to be replaced by backup Tommy DeVito, who was already replacing Tyrod Taylor (ribs), who is currently on injured reserve. Bellinger had been backing up Darren Waller (hamstring) prior to the latter being placed on injured reserve Saturday, so fantasy managers in need of a serviceable tight end could take a look at the second-year backup while Waller mends on IR. Bellinger projects to be the starter against Dallas next Sunday.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Goes without target Sunday

Bellinger went without a target while playing 39 of the Giants' 77 snaps on offense in Sunday's 14-9 loss to the Bills. Sunday's game marked just the second time all season that Bellinger failed to draw a target. Aside from the Giants' Week 4 loss to the Seahawks in which he exited early due to injury, Bellinger has played at least 35 percent of the team's snaps on offense in every contest. However, so long as top tight end Darren Waller is available, Bellinger is likely to operate mainly as a blocker when he takes the field.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Still limited by knee

Bellinger (knee) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Per Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record, Bellinger began the day working off to the side with trainers but joined his fellow tight ends when the time came for position drills. That's a relatively encouraging sign, but he'll still likely need to practice in full Friday to avoid an injury designation going into the weekend.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Night comes to early end

Bellinger (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's contest with the Seahawks, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Bellinger suffered the knee injury on the Giants' first possession of the night and will finish the game with one catch for six yards. More information on his status may be provided after Monday's game.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Exits with knee injury

Bellinger suffered a knee injury and is questionable to return to Monday's contest with the Seahawks, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Bellinger went down with a knee injury in the first quarter, and his status now is uncertain for the remainder of the game. Lawrence Cager is the only tight end available behind starter Darren Waller for the time being.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Gets questionable tag

Bellinger (neck) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. It is unclear if Bellinger picked up the injury during the Giants' Week 3 loss to the 49ers or some other way, but he popped up on the injury report Thursday. Although he is behind Darren Waller on the depth chart, the second-year tight end has handled offensive snaps north of 60 percent through three weeks. Lawrence Cager would likely be in line to assume the No. 2 role if Bellinger is unable to go.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: May have larger role Sunday

Bellinger could have an elevated role in the Giants offense Sunday against the Cowboys after Darren Waller (hamstring) was listed as questionable on the team's final Week 1 injury report, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports. Waller didn't even make an appearance on the report until Friday, when he was limited at practice. A decision on his availability may not be made revealed until 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, and if Waller is sidelined Bellinger would be a decent enough option to pivot to with just two games remaining on the Week 1 slate. Bellinger started 11 of the 12 games in which he played as a rookie last season, accruing a 30-268-2 line on 35 targets. Lawrence Cager (ankle) is the other tight end on the Giants' active roster.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Doesn't play in preseason finale

Bellinger sat out Saturday's exhibition loss to the Jets. Bellinger played in the Giants' first two preseason games, nabbing his only target for a four-yard touchdown connection with Daniel Jones. With Darren Waller added to the team in the offseason, Bellinger is slated to work in a backup role after featuring as a starter during his rookie campaign last year. That likely takes him off the fantasy radar in most formats, though he could emerge as a potential asset if Waller is unable to stay healthy.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Slightly increases production

Bellinger hauled in all three of his targets for 42 yards Sunday in the Giants' Week 17 win over Indianapolis. Bellinger tied for second on New York in receiving yardage with a total that established a new career-high mark. The bulk of the rookie tight end's production came on a 24-yard reception in the second quarter that took the ball to the Colts' seven-yard line and helped set up an Isaiah Hodgins receiving touchdown. Bellinger has been given a near every-down role for the playoff-bound Giants, but he hasn't put up the type of numbers typical of a must-roster tight end in standard fantasy leagues.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Only one catch Sunday

Bellinger caught one of four targets for four yards in a 20-12 victory over the Commanders on Sunday. Bellinger tied for fourth on New York with four targets, but he was able to corral only of them for a short gain. He ended up with his fewest receiving yards since being shut out entirely in the Giants' season opener, though that can be partly attributed to an overall quiet passing performance by Daniel Jones, who threw for only 160 yards. Bellinger played 98 percent of New York's offensive snaps and remains the team's clear-cut top tight end, and he will have a chance to bounce back in a Week 16 visit to Minnesota.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Playing Sunday

Bellinger (ribs) is listed as active Sunday in Washington, Matt Citak of the Giants' official site reports. Last Sunday against the Eagles, Bellinger attempted to play through a rib injury but eventually departed for good in the fourth quarter. Coach Brian Daboll described Bellinger's issue as "pretty sore" Monday, capping him to limited sessions during Week 15 prep. It won't stop Bellinger from being available to the Giants offense Sunday, and assuming he avoids any in-game setbacks, he'll be set for a majority share of the team's TE reps. In nine appearances as a fourth-round rookie, he's hauled in 24 of 26 targets for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Stays limited in practice

Bellinger (rib) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports. Bellinger is dealing with a sore rib in the aftermath of this past Sunday's loss to the Eagles, during which he made his second straight appearance following a five-week absence due to a fractured left eye socket. The rookie tight end appears on track to be available this weekend in Washington, but he may need to upgrade to full practice participation Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Sunday.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Limited practice on tap

Bellinger (ribs) will be a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Per Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Bellinger was "pretty sore" following the Giants' loss to the Eagles in Week 14. While the tight end's status is worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, Bellinger's ability to practice in any fashion Wednesday appears to be a good sign with regard to his chances of playing.
