Ranking Teams Most Likely To Reach SB In Their Home Stadium: Atlanta Falcons

Fantasy News

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Out for the year

Harrison (knee) won't return this season, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Harrison was placed on the injured reserve list in late November due to a knee issue likely sustained in the Week 7 loss to the 49ers. He played in just seven games this season, recording 22 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed. LaCale London will likely remain one of the Falcons' top defensive ends while Harrison is sidelined for the remainder of the season.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Lands on injured reserve

The Falcons placed Harrison (knee) on IR on Saturday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports. Harrison first hurt his knee in mid-October. He missed two games before returning to action in Week 10 against Indianapolis. However, Harrison sat again during Week 11 and had already been deemed out for this Sunday before being moved to IR. Atlanta coach Raheem Morris said Saturday that Harrison had a setback with his knee and will need to get the issue "fixed," which may mean the third-year pro is going to need surgery.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Out for Week 12

Harrison (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Saints, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. The Ohio State product didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and will now be sidelined for the fourth time in the Falcons' last five games on Sunday. Harrison has appeared in seven games this season, recording 22 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, and one pass defensed. Expect Brandon Dorlus to have an expanded role on Atlanta's defense while Harrison remains sidelined in Week 12.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: DNP to start week

Harrison (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Harrison has sat out three of Atlanta's last four games, and now his knee injury is threatening his status for Week 12. Unless he's able to get back to practice Thursday or Friday, it's not likely he's going to play Sunday at New Orleans.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Limited participant in practice

Harrison (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the team's official website reports. Harrison upgraded to limited participation Thursday after not practicing Wednesday. The injury appears to be related to that which sidelined him for Weeks 8 and 9. However, Harrison's ability to play in Sunday's overtime loss to the Colts and his progression in practice this week implies Thursday's limited participation may be attributed to workload management. With limited participation or a full practice Friday, the 24-year-old should have a chance to play Sunday against the Panthers.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Productive in return

Harrison logged five tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, and a forced fumble in Atlanta's loss to the Colts on Sunday. Harrison missed the last two games with a knee injury but had a strong outing in his return, recording one of the team's seven sacks. The 24-year-old is having a strong start to the season, totaling 22 tackles (nine solo), including a career-high 4.5 sacks, across just seven games played.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Won't play Week 8

Harrison (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. A knee injury sustained in Week 7 against the 49ers limited Harrison's practice participation all week, but he has been cleared to play against Miami after going through pregame warmups. The 2023 third-rounder has recorded at least 1.0 sacks in three of his last five games, and that pass-rushing ability will need to be made up by Brandon Dorlus and Ta'Quon Graham.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Questionable for Sunday

Harrison (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins. Harrison practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week after likely sustaining a knee injury in the Falcons' Week 7 loss to the 49ers. He's started all six of Atlanta's games this season, recording 17 total tackles, including a career-high 3.5 sacks, and one pass defended. If he's forced to miss the Week 8 contest, expect Brandon Dorlus to start opposite David Onyemata on the Falcons' defensive line.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Logs sack in win

Harrison tallied one solo tackle, including 1.0 sacks, during Atlanta's win Sunday versus Washington. Harrison recorded the team's only sack of Marcus Mariota in the win. The 24-year-old is now up to 2.5 sacks on the season, and he will look to keep up his high level of play during the Falcons' Week 6 matchup versus the Bills following their upcoming week off.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Role cut down in 2024

In 17 games in 2024, Harrison recorded 26 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, along with two passes defensed. Despite playing one more game, Harrison actually played fewer total defensive snaps in 2024 (263) than he did in his rookie season in 2023 (323). At least part of that difference could be explained by Atlanta's shift from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defensive scheme under new defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake. If Lake retains the position, Harrison could be in line for a similar snap share in 2025.

  • Falcons' Zach Harrison: Missing Week 18

Harrison (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints. Harrison will miss the Falcons' regular-season finale after sustaining a knee injury during the team's Week 17 loss to the Bears. Harrison (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game at Chicago, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. Through 15 games played this season, the rookie third-round pick has racked up 29 tackles (14 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and will look to add to his totals next week versus the Bears.
