  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Placed on IR

The Patriots placed Roy (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Roy dealt with a foot injury at the end of the 2024 season and was limited by the issue earlier in the offseason program. It's unclear if the new injury is related to that previous issue. Roy appeared in six regular-season contests for New England last season, making one start. He finished the campaign with 17 tackles (12 solo), including 2.0 sacks. Roy will spend 2025 on injured reserve unless he's cut with an injury settlement at a later date.

  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Moves past foot issue

Roy (foot), who was limited in OTAs, has been practicing without limitations during training camp, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports. Roy was placed on injured reserve and ruled out for the season in December due to a foot injury, but the 2023 fifth-rounder has since moved past the issue. The LSU product is thus aiming to secure a rotational role on the Patriots' defensive line ahead of the upcoming campaign. In six games last season, he recorded 17 tackles, including three tackles for loss.

  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Still nursing injury

Roy (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday's voluntary OTAs, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Roy was placed on injured reserve in December of 2024 due to a foot injury, but it now appears he's nearly past the issue. The third-year pro appeared in just six games for the Patriots last season, logging 17 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, across 135 defensive snaps. Once the LSU product returns to full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Patriots' top reserve defensive linemen in 2025.

  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Lands on IR, done for season

The Patriots placed Roy (foot) on injured reserve Friday. Roy last played Week 10 against Chicago, when he aggravated a neck injury and was forced him to exit the contest early. The second-year defensive tackle now appears to be dealing with a foot issue. Because a stint on IR requires a four-game absence, and the 3-10 Patriots have only four games remaining in the regular season while being already eliminated from playoff contention, Roy won't play again this season. He'll finish the 2024 campaign with 17 tackles (12 solo), including 2.0 sacks, over six contests.

  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Remains sidelined

Roy (neck) did not practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Roy hasn't practiced or played since suffering the injury in Week 10 against the Bears. He'll likely have to get on the field in some capacity Thursday if he's going to have any chance of playing in Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

  • Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Sidelined for Week 11

Roy (neck) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. Roy suffered a neck injury during the Patriots' Week 10 win over the Bears. The injury prevented him from practicing all week, and he will miss his fifth game of the regular season. With Deatrich Wise (foot) also inactive, the Patriots' defensive line will look to Daniel Ekuale, Eric Johnson and Jeremiah Pharms to provide depth behind starters Keion White, Davon Godchaux and Christian Barmore.

  • Vikings' Jaquelin Roy: Past ankle issue

Roy (ankle) was spotted working out during Minnesota's minicamp Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports. The 2023 fifth-round pick out of LSU missed the Vikings' final two games last season with an ankle injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. Roy will likely be competing for a depth role on Minnesota's defensive line this offseason after posting eight total tackles in 12 games during his rookie campaign.

  • Vikings' Jaquelin Roy: Missing another week

Roy (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions, Matthew Coller of The Purple Insider reports. Roy is in line to miss his second consecutive game Sunday as he continues to recover from an ankle issue. With the rookie out of LSU missing more time in Week 18, expect Sheldon Day to shoulder an increased workload on the Vikings' defensive line.
