Alabama prevailed against Georgia in a thriller last week, causing the Bulldogs to drop from No. 2 to No. 5 in the AP poll heading into the Week 6 college football schedule. They opened as 20-point favorites in their matchup against Auburn, but they have jumped to -23.5 in the latest Week 6 college football odds. Auburn has lost three of its last four games and is going on the road for the first time this season following a 27-21 loss to Oklahoma last week. Should you fade the Tigers with your Week 6 college football bets?

Meanwhile, Alabama will try to back up its new No. 1 ranking when it travels to Vanderbilt as a 22.5-point favorite in the Week 6 college football spreads. This has been a lopsided series, as the Crimson Tide have won 23 consecutive meetings, with the last three being decided by 34-plus points. Before locking in any Week 6 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the college football betting guide from legendary Vegas handicapper Bruce Marshall

Top college football predictions for Week 6

One of the top college football picks Marshall is recommending for Week 6: He's backing the No. 23 Indiana Hoosiers to cover the 13.5-point spread against Northwestern in a 3:30 p.m. ET matchup. Indiana has a 5-0 record for the first time since 1967, which was the last time the program shared a Big Ten title. The Hoosiers have won all five of those games by at least 14 points, including their 42-28 win over Maryland last week.

Senior quarterback Kurtis Rourke has 1,372 passing yards and 11 touchdowns, while senior running backs Justice Ellison and Ty Son Lawton have combined for more than 600 rushing yards and 11 scores. They are facing a Northwestern defense that allowed 24 points in a loss at Washington its last time out. The Hoosiers have gone Over the total in five straight road games, so Marshall also likes the Over (41.5) in this contest. See which other picks to make here
