Michigan and Washington will meet in a rematch of last year's National Championship Game in one of the top matchups on the Week 6 college football schedule. The programs may be at the beginning stages of a rivalry as well with Washington making its debut in the Big Ten this year. Washington is 3-2, including 1-1 in the Big Ten, under Jedd Fisch, who coached at Arizona last season. Michigan is 4-1 (2-0 Big Ten) under Sherrone Moore, who was on the Wolverines staff last season. Washington is a 2.5-point favorite at home, according to the latest Week 6 college football odds from the SportsLine consensus.

Washington has won 17 straight home games since the start of the 2022 college football season, so how should that affect your college football bets in a Week 6 college football schedule that also includes matchups such as No. 9 Missouri (+2.5) vs. No. 25 Texas A&M? Before locking in any Week 6 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the latest college football predictions from SportsLine's proven model.

Top college football predictions for Week 6

One of the college picks the model is high on during Week 6: Iowa (+19.5) stays within the big spread at No. 3 Ohio State in a 3:30 p.m. ET matchup Saturday on CBS. The Buckeyes chose to play a weak non-conference schedule this season, facing no real opposition through the first three weeks of the campaign. They opened conference play with a comfortable win at Michigan State, but they are facing a better opponent on Saturday.

Iowa is coming off its best performance of the season, cruising to a 31-14 win at Minnesota as a 2.5-point favorite. Junior running back Kaleb Johnson continued his phenomenal start, racking up 206 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. He has finished with at least 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns in every game this season, and he is a big reason why the model has Iowa covering the spread in well over 50% of simulations. See the rest of its Week 6 college football picks here.

Another prediction: California (+10.5) plays a one-score game against No. 8 Miami in a 10:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday. Cal is coming off its first loss of the season, falling to Florida State to drop to 3-1. Saturday will be the second time the Golden Bears are double-digit underdogs and they defeated Auburn, 21-14, on Sept. 7 as 12-point underdogs. The Bears have overachieved as a home underdog over the last few seasons though with a 6-2-1 ATS record in those scenarios since the start of the 2020 college football season.

Cal has one of the best defenses in the country, holding opponents to 12.7 points per game, which ranks ninth in college football. Defensive back Nohl Williams has four interceptions in four games and linebacker Teddye Buchanan has 40 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, to lead the stout defense as a key reason why Cal is covering the spread in 60% of simulations. See picks for every other game in Week 6 here.
