Sosa is starting at second base and hitting ninth for the White Sox on Thursday in Kansas City.

It's his third start since he was recalled a week ago. Sosa has just one hit in 11 at-bats over that span as he continues to scuffle at the dish with the big club.

Andrus is absent from the White Sox' lineup Thursday in Kansas City.

The veteran infielder will grab some pine while Lenyn Sosa gets the start at second base. Andrus is sporting a lowly .206/.286/.260 slash line this season.

Semien went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Mariners.

His third-inning solo shot off Luis Castillo got the Rangers on the board, and his sixth-inning RBI single proved to be the game-winning hit. Semien has had a fantastic start to his second campaign with Texas, slashing .290/.377/.476 with six homers, five steals, 30 runs and 30 RBI through 36 games.

Massey went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.

Massey took Lance Lynn deep to lead off the fourth inning as part of a three-hit effort. It was his first three-hit performance of the season and his first home run of the campaign as well. Wednesday's showing was a nice boost for the 25-year-old, who has struggled overall with a slash line of .222/.373/.283 with four extra base hits, 10 RBI, nine runs and a 6:37 BB:K over 110 plate appearances.

Ibanez went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-0 victory over Cleveland.

Ibanez, making his fourth consecutive start, extended Detroit's lead to 2-0 with a two-out RBI double in the first inning. The 30-year-old infielder added a second hit in the third before coming around to score on Akil Baddoo's double. After going 0-for-10 in his first four games, Ibanez has gone 11-for-25 with four doubles, a home run and zero strikeouts in his last eight contests. He's now slashing .314/.333/.514 with four RBI and six runs scored through 36 plate appearances since being called up April 29.

Rengifo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rengifo started four consecutive games to close out last week, but he's found himself on the bench for all three games of the series with Houston. Though he looks like he'll be relegated to a utility role for now, Rengifo's ability to play multiple spots in the infield and outfield means he should still enter the lineup at least semi-regularly.

Dubon (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Dubon left Tuesday's 3-1 win with left hamstring discomfort and was scheduled to be re-evaluated earlier Wednesday, but the Astros haven't provided an update on his status, according to Rome. With the Astros having thus far avoided making a roster move, Dubon can be considered day-to-day heading into Friday's series opener versus the White Sox. David Hensley will spell Dubon at second base Wednesday.

Caballero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Caballero started in the middle infield in each of Seattle's last three games, though two of those starts came while shortstop J.P. Crawford was managing a left knee injury. With Crawford back in action Wednesday, Caballero will head to the bench and is projected to see infrequent starts as a short-side platoon player moving forward.

Gimenez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Tigers.

Gimenez will take a seat after he went 1-for-7 with a strikeout over the first two games of the series. The second baseman has struggled at the plate this season overall, but since the beginning of May, he's gone 2-for-27 with two RBI and zero runs scored over eight games. Tyler Freeman will take over at second base and bat sixth in the series finale with Detroit.

Dubon left Tuesday's game against the Angels with left hamstring discomfort, Greg Rajan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Dubon picked up the injury while reaching first base on a single. The infielder is considered day-to-day, but there's a decent chance he'll be out of the lineup for Wednesday's finale against the Angels with Houston having an off day Thursday.
