Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Could return Sunday
Torres (hamstring) could return to the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
Torres has missed just over two weeks with a hamstring strain. At one point, general manager Brian Cashman stated that the shortstop would miss 3-to-6 weeks, but he appears to be ahead of that schedule. He took part in a scrimmage at the Yankees' alternate training site Friday and is expected to join his teammates Saturday, though he may not be activated until the following day.

Twins' Luis Arraez: Sitting out Game 1
Arraez (kneecap) is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
The 23-year-old was lifted from Wednesday's contest with left patellar soreness, and he'll remain out of the lineup for at least one game. It's unclear if Arraez will be available off the bench or for the nightcap. Ehire Adrianza will start at the keystone for the Twins, batting sixth.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Remains day-to-day after MRI
Altuve (knee) is considered day-to-day after undergoing an MRI on Friday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
The 30-year-old was removed from Thursday's contest with right knee discomfort after a hard slide into third base, but it appears he avoided a serious injury. Altuve previously underwent surgery on the same knee following the 2018 campaign. It's unclear if he'll be available for Friday's matchup with the Angels, though it wouldn't be surprising if the Astros stay cautious and give him a couple days to rest up.

Astros' Jose Altuve: Exits with knee discomfort
Altuve left Thursday's game with right knee discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
The video looked more like a potential groin injury than a knee injury, but this is a bit more concerning. The team may opt to send him for tests, but for now he should be considered day-to-day.

Athletics' Marcus Semien: Continues feeling better
Semien (side) swung the bat Thursday and continues to feel better, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The hope is that he can avoid an IL stint, although the previous report suggested he wouldn't be able to return until Saturday, at the earliest. Vimael Machin, Chad Pinder and Tony Kemp could all be options to fill in for Semien on Friday against the Padres.
