Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Placed on injured list
Andrus landed on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Andrus left Tuesday's game after pulling up with the hamstring injury while running to first base. The issue was evidently serious enough that he'll require at least 10 days to rest. Willie Calhoun was recalled to take his place on the roster, with Logan Forsythe expected to serve as the primary shortstop in his absence.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Continues offensive surge
Polanco went 1-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and a run scored Tuesday in the Twins' 4-3 win over the Angels.
It took more than a month and a half, but Polanco has finally collected his first stolen base of the season. Polanco nabbed a career-high 13 steals back in 2017, but he offers most of his value through power production and batting average these days. With the Twins and Angels playing a day game in Wednesday's series finale, Polanco will forgo his usual duties at shortstop and instead serve as Minnesota's designated hitter.

Whit Merrifield 2B | ATL
Royals' Whit Merrifield: Sets table in big win
Merrifield went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 11-5 win over the Rangers.
The Royals' leadoff hitter has been feast or famine when it comes to crossing the plate lately. Merrifield has scored multiple runs in four of the last 12 games, but posted a goose egg in that category in the other eight. Overall, the 30-year-old is slashing .297/.354/.529 through 42 games with six homers, seven steals, 20 RBI and 33 runs.

Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD
Rangers' Logan Forsythe: Carries offense in loss
Forsythe went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 11-5 loss to the Royals.
He got the start at first base before shifting over to shortstop after Elvis Andrus (hamstring) exited the game, and Forsythe raised his SLG over 50 points with the extra-base barrage, finishing the night with a .305/.402/.516 slash line. The veteran utility player has seen action at all four infield spots already this season, and if Andrus' injury ends up requiring an IL stint, Forsythe's playing time should tick up.

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Dealing with hamstring tightness
Andrus was removed from Tuesday's game against the Royals with right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Andrus pulled up while running to first base Tuesday and exited the game after going 1-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. The 30-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now and will be evaluated further Wednesday.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Red Sox's Michael Chavis: Blasts seventh homer
Chavis went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Rockies.
Chavis took Kyle Freeland deep in the second inning for a solo shot, his seventh homer of the season. He's maintained the hot start to his major-league career, racking up four home runs while driving in 11 and scoring six runs in his past nine games. While he's struck out at a 26.4 percent clip, he's offset that with a walk rate of 16.4 percent. Overall, he's hitting .289/.407/.592 across 91 plate appearances.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Leaves with apparent injury
Andrus exited Tuesday's game at Kansas City with an apparent hamstring injury, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Andrus appeared to slow down and grab at his hamstring while running to first base Tuesday, only to be removed from the game shortly thereafter. Logan Forsythe moved over to shortstop after Andrus exited.

Ronny Rodriguez 2B | DET
Tigers' Ronny Rodriguez: Stays hot at plate
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and three total RBI in Tuesday's 11-4 loss to the Astros.
Rodriguez just keeps on rolling, as he now has six home runs this season to go with a 1.058 OPS through 21 games. The 27-year-old infielder had just five home runs and a .591 OPS across 62 games in 2018, so his results so far this year have certainly been a pleasant surprise.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Blue Jays' Brandon Drury: Riding pine Tuesday
Drury will head to the bench for Tuesday's game against San Francisco.
Drury has now been sent to the bench for three of his team's last four contests. Randal Grichuk will start in right field and bat cleanup with Drury out of the mix.

Nicky Lopez 3B | TEX
Royals' Nicky Lopez: Starting at second base in debut
Lopez will start at second base and bat second Tuesday against the Rangers, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
As promised, Lopez will immediately step into a starting role with the Royals at the keystone upon his arrival in the big leagues, meaning more time in the outfield for Whit Merrifield. Lopez is set to face Shelby Miller in the first big-league start of his career.
