Kim (abdomen) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rockies, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

  • Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Added to lineup Tuesday

Edwards was added to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Edwards will start at second base and bat ninth for the Marlins after Luis Arraez suffered a left ankle sprain during pregame infield practice. It's the first start for Edwards since Friday's series opener versus Atlanta, but he could see a sudden uptick in playing time if Arraez requires an extended absence.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Scratched with ankle sprain

Arraez was scratched from the lineup Tuesday versus the Mets due to a left ankle sprain, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Arraez rolled his ankle during a pregame workout Tuesday in Miami and could need multiple days off for rest and treatment. This injury comes with awful timing for the Marlins, who are currently a half-game back of the third NL wild-card spot. Xavier Edwards is filling in at second base Tuesday night against New York.

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Out with sore abdomen

Alu is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.

Blake Rutherford, Jacob Young and Lane Thomas will start across the outfield for the Nationals as Luis Garcia covers second base. Alu, 26, has batted just .221/.262/.250 across his first 42 major-league games (146 plate appearances) this season with Washington.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Turang is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Cardinals.

  • Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Batting second Tuesday

Mauricio is starting at third base and batting second Tuesday at Miami.

It's the fifth consecutive start for Mauricio, as Brett Baty continues to be limited by a left groin strain. Mauricio, 22, boasts a .308/.345/.404 slash line with one homer and six steals in 14 major-league games (55 plate appearances) since the Mets made him a Sept. 1 call-up.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Racks up three hits in loss

Rodgers went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored in Monday's 11-9 loss to the Padres.

Rodgers has three multi-hit efforts in a row and a five-game hitting streak. He's struggled to generate runs lately, as he had just three RBI over his previous 22 contests before knocking in a pair of runs on RBI singles in the second and ninth innings Monday. Rodgers is slashing .252/.317/.315 with no home runs, 14 RBI, 16 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 34 games this season.
