Bae went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored Tuesday against the Cubs.
Bae got a day off Monday, but he returned to the lineup Tuesday to hit ninth and play second base. Though he tallied two hits, he came around to score in the third inning after leading off the frame by being hit with a pitch. Bae has yet to tally his first career home run, but he does have two doubles and two steals across four starts.

Villar is not in the lineup Tuesday against Colorado, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Villar will get a day off Tuesday after playing in 12 consecutive games, batting .167 in the process. Jason Vosler will pick up a start at third base, batting eighth.

Trejo is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.
Trejo started seven straight games but will take a seat Tuesday after he posted a .655 OPS during that span. Garrett Hampson will start at the keystone and bat ninth in the series opener.

Lux isn't starting Tuesday against the Padres, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
Lux hasn't struggled as much against left-handed pitching this season compared to past years, but he will take a seat Tuesday against southpaw Blake Snell nonetheless. Max Muncy will take over at second base for him, moving Will Smith into the designated hitter role and Austin Barnes behind the dish, batting ninth.

Bae is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.
Bae will take a seat after he started each of the final three games of the Pirates' weekend series against the Cubs while going 2-for-11 with a double, a walk, two RBI, a run and two stolen bases. Though Bae doesn't have a direct path to an everyday role at any one spot, his defensive versatility should help him see a decent amount of at-bats over the final week and a half of the season as he attempts to stake his claim to a full-time role in 2023.

The Pirates designated Chavis for assignment Monday.
Chavis went hitless in his last six games and has slashed .160/.216/.259 with a 33 percent strikeout rate in his last 24 contests. It's possible another organization will pick up the struggling 26-year-old off waivers, but otherwise he'll head to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Padres' Brandon Drury: Homers, scores three times
Drury went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
The Padres scored 13 runs on the day, and Drury got in on the action in a big way with five combined runs and RBI, including a solo home run. The long ball, a 452-foot moonshot in the eighth inning, was his 28th on the season and third in 10 games since returning from the injured list. In that 10-game stretch, Drury is hitting .243 (9-for-37) with six runs scored and six RBI.

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Three hits Sunday
Kim went 3-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored in Sunday's 13-6 victory over Colorado.
Kim delivered hitting out of the leadoff spot Sunday. He recorded three hits for the second time in his last 10 games, during which he is batting .316 with two home runs, five RBI and seven runs scored. He is slashing .252/.322/.382 through 142 contests on the season.
