Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Dealing with sore wrist
Garcia jammed his wrist Sunday sliding into second base and was replaced by pinch hitter Ildemaro Vargas in the eighth inning, but he's not expected to miss much time, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The Nationals had an off day Monday, so Garcia might not end up missing a start, but it wouldn't be a surprise if manager Dave Martinez gave him an extra day to recover. Garcia has had a breakout season so far, slashing .337/.381/.510 with three homers and six steals in 105 plate appearances.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Mets' Joey Wendle: Draws rare start
Wendle will start at second base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Cardinals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Wendle will start for just the ninth time through the Mets' 35 games this season, handling second base while Jeff McNeil gets a look in left field. The 34-year-old will likely to continue seeing light use in his utility role unless the Mets lose one of their regular infielders to injury.

Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Getting Monday off
Turang is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
Turang -- who is tied for second in the majors with 14 stolen bases -- will hit the bench for just the third time all season in what looks to be a maintenance day. Joey Ortiz will fill in for Turang at the keystone and will bat second.

Tommy Edman CF | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Moves to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result. He won't be eligible to make his 2024 Cardinals debut until May 24.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Getting start at shortstop
Stott will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Monday's game versus the Giants, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Edmundo Sosa handled shortstop for the Phillies in the team's first two games without Trea Turner (hamstring), but Stott will man the position Monday while Whit Merrifield plays second base. Stott is making his first start at shortstop since Game 6 of the 2022 World Series.

Thairo Estrada 2B | SF
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Leaves yard Sunday
Estrada went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.
Estrada gave the Giants some late life with a two-run blast in the seventh off Taijuan Walker, which ultimately knocked him from the game. The 28-year-old is riding a five-game hit streak and has six RBI over his last four games. In 12 games since April 21, Estrada is slashing .333/.364/.595 with two homers, nine RBI, six runs and a 1:5 BB:K.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Homers, swipes bag in four-hit day
Garcia went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a steal during Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.
Garcia's third homer of the season was a solo shot in the third and represented the second of his four hits on the day, with three of those hits producing runs. It was the culmination of a big weekend for Garcia, who went 7-for-9 with two walks, two homers, eight RBI and four runs and a steal during the three-game set, raising his average to .337 in the process.

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Getting day off against lefty
Lux is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Lux is one of three lefty-hitting regulars along with Max Muncy and James Outman who will hit the bench while southpaw Max Fried takes the hill for Atlanta. Miguel Rojas will fill in for Lux at second base.
