  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Snaps slump with three-hit game

Rosario went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, three total runs scored and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Royals.

Rosario entered Saturday just 2-for-21 across his previous six games. He delivered two singles in the first five innings and added a solo shot to pad the lead in the ninth. The shortstop hit .360 in June -- that's better than what fantasy managers should expect, but his cold start to July was an over-correction. Rosario is slashing .279/.319/.390 with four homers, 25 RBI, 46 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 12 doubles and five triples through 329 plate appearances.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Swipes bag as pinch runner

Estrada stole a base as a pinch runner in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Estrada replaced Brandon Belt (knee) in the eighth inning and promptly stole second, but he was left aboard. Estrada has successfully recorded steals on his last three attempts and is 12-for-14 on the basepaths this season. The second baseman has added a .253/.308/.382 slash line with six home runs, 31 RBI and 40 runs scored through 72 contests as a consistent presence in the Giants' lineup at the keystone.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Plates three in win

Rojas went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Rockies.

Both of Rojas' doubles accounted for his three RBI as he helped the Diamondbacks strengthen their lead in the seventh and eighth innings. The 28-year-old has already racked up five multi-hit efforts in nine games in July, matching his number of such performances from 24 contests in June. The infielder's success at the plate has lifted his batting average 36 points from .248 at the end of June to .284 after Saturday's contest. He's added a .787 OPS, five home runs, 26 RBI, 34 runs scored, seven stolen bases and 13 doubles through 221 plate appearances this year.

  • Reds' Brandon Drury: Racks up four hits Saturday

Drury went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Rays.

Drury came up with a big hit in the eighth inning, knocking a single to left field that plated two runs and tied the score. The hit was his fourth of the contest, marking his first four-hit performance of the season. Drury shows no signs of slowing down in what his been a breakout campaign -- he's slashing .278/.335/.542 with a career-best 18 homers and 50 RBI along with 52 runs and two stolen bases.

  • Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Lands on injured list

Arroyo was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left groin strain Saturday.

Reports from Friday suggested that the Red Sox expected Arroyo to play through the injury, but there's evidently been a change of plans. He'll now be out until after the All-Star break. Jeter Downs was recalled to take his place on the roster.

  • Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Not playing Saturday

Hernandez (hip) won't play at Triple-A Worcester on Saturday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Hernandez went 0-for-4 while serving as the designated hitter for Worcester on Friday, but he didn't feel great following the rehab game. The 30-year-old's timetable to return to the major-league club will depend on when he's able to return to action in the minors.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

    Giants' Thairo Estrada: Sitting Saturday

Estrada will sit Saturday against San Diego, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Estrada returned from the COVID-19 injured list Friday and went straight into the starting lineup, but he won't be asked to start two games in a row right away. Wilmer Flores will be the second baseman Saturday.

  • Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Not starting Saturday

Arroyo (groin) will sit Saturday against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Previous reports indicated that Arroyo would play through a groin injury he picked up recently, but the Red Sox instead elected to sit him for at least one game. He hasn't hit well enough to deserve a spot when he's at less than 100 percent, slashing a modest .224/.278/.362 on the year.

  • Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM

Rays' Vidal Brujan: Optioned to Triple-A

Brujan was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Thursday.

Brujan lost out on regular playing time in late June and early July, and his demotion should allow him to see more regular at-bats as he continues to work on developing. The 24-year-old has appeared in 46 games with the Rays to begin the year and has slashed .167/.230/.246 with two homers, 15 RBI, 11 runs and four stolen bases. Taylor Walls should serve as the primary second baseman until Brandon Lowe (back) is cleared to return.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: On bench Saturday

McNeil isn't starting Saturday's game against the Marlins.

McNeil is expected to land on the paternity list soon, but he's simply getting a day off Saturday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. The 30-year-old is expected to start Sunday before landing on the paternity list ahead of the Mets' series against Atlanta. Luis Guillorme is starting at the keystone and batting eighth Saturday.
