Ibanez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Angels.

Ibanez took Jose Suarez yard in the sixth inning for his fourth homer of the year. Three of his home runs have come in the last nine games, and he's seemingly taken over as the team's primary second baseman after the demotion of Nick Solak. Ibanez has impressively struck out at a mere 13.5 percent clip across 133 plate appearances this season, though he's still hitting just .230/.286/.385.

Hernandez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener in Detroit, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Consecutive multi-hit performances have Hernandez hitting .333 with three extra-base hits and six runs in his last 10 games. Marwin Gonzalez, just activated from the injured list, is starting at second base and batting seventh.

Kemp is not starting Tuesday against the Padres and lefty Blake Snell.

Kemp sitting against the southpaw has been a common occurrence this season, but with the club having recently acquired Starling Marte and Josh Harrison, it's become all but a guarantee. That said, he still figures to see substantial time at second base and occasional time in the outfield against right-handers going forward.

Marte is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

Marte started the past two games after being reinstated from the injured list Saturday. Despite logging three hits and scoring two runs across his last nine at-bats, he'll hit the bench against Johnny Cueto on Tuesday.

Frazier is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Athletics.

He heads to the bench with lefty Sean Manaea on the hill for Oakland. Frazier has been in the lineup against some same-handed pitchers, but his playing time has dipped slightly since getting traded from Pittsburgh, which stands to reason given how much more offensive talent the Padres have than the Pirates. Jake Cronenworth will start at second base while Eric Hosmer starts at first base.

Turang was promoted from Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

The 21-year-old middle infielder hit .264/.329/.385 with five home runs and 11 steals in 73 games at Double-A. It was an age-appropriate level for Turang, and his 15 percent strikeout rate was quite impressive, given the caliber of pitching at Double-A. However, he was just a touch below league average (98 wRC+) due to his middling on-base percentage and lack of power (.122 ISO). He could make his big-league debut next season.

Biggio was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with back/neck problems, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

The Blue Jays are hopeful that Biggio will be able to return when first eligible on Aug. 13. Corey Dickerson (foot) was activated in a corresponding move.

Short is not starting Tuesday's series opener against the Red Sox.

Having gone hitless in four consecutive games, Short is in the midst of a considerable slump, marked by a .102 average and 16 strikeouts in 49 at-bats since the All-Star break. Harold Castro will play shortstop and bat seventh Tuesday.

Rojas (finger) has taken batting practice and is targeting a return this weekend, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Rojas is still dealing with discomfort and range-of-motion issues in his left pinky finger, and he may not be 100 percent for another month or so. That means he'll have to manage the pain. Rojas is tentatively scheduled to take live at-bats in a simulated game Wednesday. If that goes well, manager Torey Lovullo wants to see him play in a minor-league rehab game or two before coming off the injured list.

Rosario went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored in Monday's 5-2 extra-inning win over Toronto.

Myles Straw, Rosario and Jose Ramirez combined to go 7-for-14 in the top three spots in Cleveland's order, while the other six hitters were limited to two hits. Rosario was also productive on the basepaths, giving him 11 steals this year. He's added a .272/.318/.392 slash line with six home runs, 30 RBI, 50 runs scored, 17 doubles and four triples as a speed threat from the No. 2 spot in the order.
