Urias went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk Monday for Triple-A El Paso in its 6-3 win over Reno.

Prior to his two-hit performance Monday, Urias was in the midst of his longest offensive drought of the season, as he had gone 1-for-20 over the previous six contests. Urias still drew five walks during the rough patch and maintains a 26:27 BB:K across 151 plate appearances this season, displaying the kind of plate discipline that should make him a fixture atop the order for the Padres before long. Urias remains on track to earn a promotion to San Diego at some point this season, and his timetable for a callup could be accelerated if primary second baseman Jose Pirela fails to dramatically improve upon the unremarkable .265/.324/.347 batting line he's sporting for the campaign.

Frazier is expected to resume his role as a utilityman when Josh Harrison (hand) returns from the disabled list, a move which could happen as soon as Friday.

On an overachieving Pirates team, Frazier is one of its few disappointments. Since Harrison went on the DL, Frazier has slashed .224/.280/.276 with one homer and three RBI in 18 starts while serving as the Bucs' primary second baseman. He'll likely reprise his role as a backup infielder/outfielder and pinch hitter when Harrison comes back.

Albies went 3-for-5 with a double and a solo home run in Monday's win over the Cubs.

With three long balls in his last five contests, the diminutive second baseman now has 13 homers on the year -- tying him with more noted sluggers Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, Mookie Betts and Jose Ramirez for the major-league lead. Albies' 28 extra-base hits on the season are tops in the NL. He is walking less and striking out more than he did last year in his debut, but given the charge he's putting in the ball when he does make contact, that's both understandable and forgivable. Albies has also started contributing on the basepaths -- after stealing only one base on three attempts through his first 24 games, he's a perfect 4-for-4 in his last 16.

Beckham is starting at second base and hitting ninth Monday against the Twins, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Beckham, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Tacoma prior to Monday's game, will be afforded the first opportunity to fill in for the injured Robinson Cano (finger) at the keystone. The 31-year-old owns a lackluster .239/.303/.369 career slash line across 964 big-league games, so expectations should be kept in check even if he does settle in as the Mariners' primary second baseman in Cano's absence.

Drury (impaired vision) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre on Monday.

Manager Aaron Boone recently said that Drury wouldn't be ready until after the team's upcoming road trip that ends May 25, and with time running out on his rehab assignment, the Yankees decided to activate Drury and send him to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to continue his rehab. It's unclear if Drury will return to his role as the Yankees' primary third baseman once ready, as prospect Miguel Andujar has held his own at the hot corner in his absence, hitting .282/.296/.458 with three homers across 33 games. The 25-year-old has been sidelined since early April with impaired vision and migraines.

Beckham had his contract purchased from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Beckham will join the Mariners for the first time all season to offer additional infield depth with Robinson Cano (finger) landing on the disabled list. The veteran infielder compiled a solid .300/.412/.500 slash line to go with four homers across 25 games with the Rainiers this season. Beckham, who owns a career .239/.303/.369 slash line across 964 major-league games, will help man the keystone with Andrew Romine in Cano's absence, though it's unclear how playing time will shake out at this point.

Franklin, who landed on the 10-day disabled list May 9 with a right quadriceps strain, is also battling an illness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

According to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Franklin is expected to be sidelined for around two weeks due to the quad injury, so he'll likely be over the illness by that point. Following Franklin's placement on the DL, the Brewers added Tyler Saladino to the active roster to serve as a utility man. Should Saladino impress in that role over the next couple weeks, he could stick with Milwaukee over Franklin once the latter is activated.

Beckham is a likely candidate for a callup from Triple-A Tacoma in the wake of Robinson Cano's hand injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The versatile infielder was held out of both of the Rainiers' games against Sacramento on Sunday, lending credence to the notion he'll be summoned to help man the keystone alongside fellow veteran Andrew Romine during what's expected to be an extended absence on the part of Cano. Beckham has earned the promotion through his play, as well, as he's boasting a .300/.412/.500 line that includes four home runs and 15 RBI across 25 games with Tacoma. The 31-year-old brings plenty of big-league experience, logging 964 career games over the last nine seasons with the White Sox, Angels, Braves, Giants and Mariners.

Marte went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs Sunday in the Diamondbacks' 6-4 loss to the Nationals.

Marte is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak, but he has a long way to go before his season batting line returns to a respectable level. Through 157 plate appearances, Marte is slashing .228/.287/.324, with the average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage all representing the worst marks of his career. Marte could be at risk of losing playing time at the keystone to utility men Daniel Descalso or Chris Owings once Jake Lamb (shoulder, elbow) is activated from the 10-day disabled list and reinstalled as the Diamondbacks' primary third baseman.

Forsythe (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.

Forsythe will have officially missed a month of action when he's activated. The Dodgers also plan to activate third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) from the DL as well, so their additions to the lineup should help the team dig themselves out of the hole they find themselves in following a frustratingly slow start to the season. Forsythe's return will cut into Chase Utley's playing time.
