  • Red Sox's Kristian Campbell: Could play Sunday

Red Sox manager Alex Cora believes Campbell (ribs) will be able to play Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Cora hoped Campbell would be able to play Saturday, but he was instead held out for a third consecutive game due to rib discomfort. David Hamilton has filled at second base for all three contests.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Back in Saturday's lineup

Torres (hamstring) is starting at second base and batting third against the Angels on Saturday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Torres did not start in Friday's series opener after tweaking his hamstring against the Angels on Thursday, and one day off has been enough for him to return to the lineup. He's started the season slashing .300/.360/.475 with four stolen bases, 13 runs scored, four home runs and 15 RBI in 89 plate appearances.

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Diagnosed with Grade 2 ankle sprain

Lopez was diagnosed with a Grade 2 right ankle sprain Saturday, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

Lopez felt discomfort in the ankle Friday and was seen wearing a walking boot Saturday. After receiving test results, the second baseman seems likely to require a stint on the injured list since it's a moderate sprain.

  • Hye Seong Kim 2B | LAD

    Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Officially recalled

The Dodgers recalled Kim from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

News of this move first circulated early Saturday, and it came to fruition with Tommy Edman (ankle) landing on the injured list. Kim isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup against Atlanta, as Chris Taylor is getting the start as Edman's replacement at second base. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Kim gets regular opportunities against right-handed pitchers while Edman is on the shelf.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Lands on injured list

Edman (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 30, on Saturday.

Edman tweaked his right ankle Tuesday against Miami and was initially expected to be out just a few days. However, the Dodgers are instead opting to move the infielder/outfielder to the IL to give him time to fully recover. The ankle is the same one that caused Edman to spend time on the injured list last season, but he said Friday that his current injury is less concerning, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Because Edman's IL stint was backdated to April 30, he'll be eligible to return next Saturday, May 10. Los Angeles called up rookie Hyeseong Kim from Triple-A to take Edman's place on the roster, but it's Chris Taylor who is starting at second base Saturday against Atlanta.

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Sporting walking boot

Lopez (ankle) is wearing a walking boot Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Lopez exited Friday's contest against the Athletics due to right ankle discomfort, and he's since undergone testing. De Nicola notes that Lopez and the Marlins are awaiting results of those tests before determining next steps. Javier Sanoja is starting at second base in Lopez's absence Saturday.

  • Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Resting against lefty

Holliday isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

With left-hander Kris Bubic due to start on the bump for Kansas City, the left-handed bat of Holliday will stay put in the dugout. Jorge Mateo will pick up a start at second base instead and bat ninth.

  • Hye Seong Kim 2B | LAD

    Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Joining Dodgers

The Dodgers plan to recall Kim from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

After signing a three-year deal with the Dodgers in the offseason, Kim was sent to Triple-A at the beginning of the year to work on his swing. Through 129 plate appearances, the 26-year-old has slashed .252/.328/.470 with five homers, 19 RBI and 22 runs scored while swiping 13 bags in 28 games. A corresponding move for Kim's promotion hasn't been announced yet, though it may signal a move to the injured list for Tommy Edman (ankle).

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Sitting out Saturday

Lopez (ankle) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Lopez made an early exit from Friday's game after twisting his right ankle, and he'll take a day off Saturday to recover. Javier Sanoja will fill in for him at second base and bat ninth.

  • Gabriel Arias SS | CLE

    Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Resting Saturday

Arias isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Toronto.

Arias will get a day to collect himself Saturday after going 0-for-10 with two runs scored across his last three games. His absence will give Brayan Rocchio a chance to start at shortstop while batting eighth.
