Schneemann started at second base and went 0-for-4 in Friday's 7-2 loss to Seattle.

Schneemann made his first start in five games, and Friday marked the first time in five games that the Guardians faced a right-hander. He's doing better against righties (.802 OPS) than southpaws (.526), so he should continue to serve on the strong side of a platoon, though Schneemann has recently struggled, going 14-for-72 (.194) over his last 23 contests.

Lowe went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored Friday against the Mets.

Lowe has had hits come in bunches in June, as Friday marked his third multi-hit game across 11 starts in the month. He began the Rays' rally in the sixth inning with a single and came around to score, giving him eight runs scored in that same 11-game span.

Frazier went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base Friday against the Cubs.

Frazier looked to be the odd man out when Nick Gonzales returned to the lineup, but Frazier has since overtaken Alexander Canario and Tommy Pham for playing time in left field. He's started four of Pittsburgh's last five games at the position and gone 6-for-20 with three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in that span.

The Cardinals are likely to decide Sunday whether Donovan (toe) needs to go on the 10-day injured list, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Donovan has missed three straight games with a sprained left big toe and it sounds like he's a long shot to return to action Saturday. The Cardinals are willing to play a man short through the weekend if it means Donovan can avoid the IL and play Tuesday following Monday's off day, but an IL stint remains a possibility. Nolan Gorman will continue to fill in at second base while Donovan is shelved.

Castro went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Astros.

All three Twins runs came on solo shots, with Castro getting his team on the board by taking Colton Gordon deep in the fourth inning. Castro has been on fire since the end of May, slashing .408/.491/.796 over his last 14 games with five homers, 10 RBI and 12 runs, and with Royce Lewis (hamstring) suffering another injury Friday, the 28-year-old utility player will have a little less competition for playing time in the immediate future.

Torres went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 11-5 win over the Reds.

Torres opened the scoring with a leadoff homer in the first inning and went deep again in the seventh. It was a much-needed power surge for the 28-year-old, who hadn't homered since May 12 and entered Friday with just one extra-base hit over 12 June games. On the season, he's slashing .271/.373/.414 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 32 runs scored and four steals across 249 plate appearances.

Keith is starting at first base and batting fifth in Friday's game against the Reds.

Keith was not in the starting lineup Thursday with Baltimore deploying lefty Keegan Akin as the opener, though he did pinch hit and ultimately receive three at-bats in the contest. The young infielder, who has a .706 OPS for the season, will slot back in as a regular starter Friday against Cincinnati righty Nick Martinez.

Donovan (toe) isn't part of the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.

Donovan is absent from the starting nine for a third straight game but appears to be making progress in his recovery from a sprained left big toe. The 28-year-old participated in a light pregame workout Thursday and was said to be feeling "a lot better." Nolan Gorman will bat seventh and play second base in place of Donovan. Per Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Donovan is pushing for a return this weekend, but the Cardinals are willing to give him until Tuesday before placing him on the injured list.

Chisholm (groin) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox.

Chisholm exited Wednesday's game with tightness in his left groin and will miss a second consecutive game due to the issue, though Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that he hopes the 27-year-old will be available as a pinch hitter, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. In Chisholm's place, Oswald Peraza will play third base and bat eighth.

Kim (shoulder) was pulled off his minor-league rehab assignment Thursday due to right hamstring tightness, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Kim has yet to play in the majors this season while he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, but he did begin a rehab assignment late last month and has appeared in 12 games for Triple-A Durham. Across 49 trips to the plate with Durham, Kim is slashing .211/.347/.263 with just two extra-base hits, four RBI, eight runs scored, two stolen bases and an 8:5 BB:K. Kim is expected to resume his rehab stint as soon as next week.
