Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Sitting for Game 1
Polanco is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.
It's the first time out of the lineup this season for Polanco, who is 0-for-10 with four walks and three strikeouts over his past three games. Dylan Moore is starting at the keystone, with Polanco likely to rejoin the starting nine for Game 2.

Colt Keith 3B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Not in Sunday's lineup
Keith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Keith is mired in a 2-for-25 slump and will take a seat for Sunday's series finale. Buddy Kennedy will step in at second base and bat sixth.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Back in the starting lineup
Rodgers (illness) is starting at second base and hitting sixth in the Rockies' first game of their doubleheader against the Mariners on Sunday.
Rodgers has been out of the starting lineup for each of Colorado's last four games due to an illness, though he did appear as a pinch runner Wednesday against the Phillies. Rodgers is slashing .211/.237/.316 with four doubles, one triple and three RBI over 59 plate appearances this season.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Sitting again Sunday
India (illness) is not starting in Sunday's game against the Angels.
India played through an illness in Saturday's game, but he was eventually removed for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning. Santiago Espinal will start at second base, while Tyler Stephenson will serve as the DH for Sunday's game against Angels right-hander Jose Soriano. India will have a chance to suit up for Monday's series opener against the Phillies.

Reds' Jonathan India: Dealing with illness
India was removed from Saturday's game against the Angels due to illness, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India wasn't feeling well prior to the game but did his best to gut it out before finally being lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning. He would seem to be iffy at best for Sunday, but consider India day-to-day for the time being.

Max Schuemann 2B | NYY
Athletics' Max Schuemann: Hits first homer, adds steal
Schuemann went 1-for-2 with a home run and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to the Guardians.
Schuemann's fifth-inning blast off of Logan Allen represented his first major-league hit and home run. He also added the first stolen base of his career later in the game after reaching on a walk. Schuemann was making his third start at a third different position (third base) Saturday and all three starts have come against lefties. He's unlikely to make a fantasy impact.

Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Gets Saturday off
Gimenez isn't in Cleveland's lineup for Saturday's game against the A's.
Gimenez will step out of the lineup Saturday after going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored during Friday's series opener. While he rests, Gabriel Arias will fill in at the keystone and bat seventh.
-
Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Drives in two in season debut
Massey went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-4 win over the Orioles.
Massey's two-run single stretched the Royals' lead to 4-0 in the sixth inning, and he came around to score on a Hunter Renfroe double. It's a positive start for Massey, who was shelved for a month with back tightness. Both Massey and Adam Frazier are left-handed hitters, so it remains to be seen how the workload will be divvied up at second base moving forward.

Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Posts third steal
Gimenez went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 10-2 win over the Athletics.
Gimenez is just 5-for-25 over his last six games, but he's driven in six runs in that span. None of those hits have gone for extra bases. The second baseman started 2024 hot, so it's not surprising he's cooled off a bit. Gimenez is slashing .291/.356/.380 with three steals, 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, five doubles and a triple over 91 plate appearances, but he's yet to hit a home run this season.

Ildemaro Vargas 3B | ARI
Nationals' Ildemaro Vargas: Tough night on basepaths
Vargas went 2-for-3 with an RBI but was caught stealing twice in Friday's loss to the Astros.
Starting at third base and batting ninth, Vargas had another good showing at the plate, but it was his misadventures on the basepaths that stood out in a 5-3 loss. He was picked off at second base by Justin Verlander and caught in a rundown in the third inning, then was thrown out trying to steal second base in the eighth. Vargas is batting .323 (10-for-31) with a 5:3 BB:K through 11 games and has been seeing semi-regular playing time around the infield, but Friday's performance won't endear him to manager Dave Martinez.
