  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Adds another steal

Kim went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Tuesday's 9-4 victory over the Marlins.

Kim is now 3-for-7 with five walks and a pair of steals over his last three games. The 27-year-old Kim has had a solid month, batting .288 with an .831 OPS, raising his slash line to .245/.337/.384 with five homers, 20 runs scored and 18 RBI while going 8-for-10 on stolen base attempts.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Homers in return

Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Colorado.

Marte returned to the lineup after getting Monday off and wasted no time in extending his on-base streak to 28 games and hit streak to nine with a first-inning homer. The second baseman is 12-for-39 with three homers, one triple, five RBI, two steals and six runs scored during the nine-game hit streak.

  • Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS

White Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Maintains home run streak

Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, one double, an additional RBI, an additional run scored and one steal in Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Angels.

Gonzalez continued his tear at the plate, swatting his third home run in as many games while also swiping his third bag of the season. Since being activated from the IL on May 13, Gonzalez owns a .323 average with three homers, 11 RBI and six runs scored. Though his recent play has been quite encouraging, Gonzalez will likely return to a backup role upon the return of Elvis Andrus (oblique), which is expected to come later this week.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Hits leadoff home run in win

Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Rays.

Facing tough Tampa Bay starter Shane McClanahan, Hoerner got the game off to a good start, leading things off with his fourth home run of the season. The infielder isn't known as a great power threat, though he has been an effective table setter for Chicago with a .284 batting average and has chipped in 12 stolen bases to boost his fantasy value.

  • Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM

Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Goes deep after entering contest

Ibanez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run after entering the game as pinch hitter in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Rangers.

Ibanez was forced into action when Riley Greene (leg) left the contest in the third inning. The former took over at second base, with Zack Short sliding over to center field in place of Greene. Ibanez was in a 1-for-40 slump coming into Tuesday and was starting to see his playing time decrease, though he could regain an elevated role if Greene is out for a while.

  • David Villar 1B | SF

Giants' David Villar: Optioned to Triple-A

The Giants optioned Villar to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Just three days after being recalled by the Giants, Villar will head back to Sacramento. Villar holds a .514 OPS through 108 plate appearances in the majors this season, but has been solid in the minors with a .900 OPS. If Villar can maintain a high level of output at the plate in Triple-A, he could be back with the Giants relatively soon. Luke Jackson (elbow) was activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday in a corresponding move.

  • Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW

Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Out of lineup Tuesday

Vargas is absent from the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals.

Mookie Betts will play second base and Jason Heyward is in right field. Vargas caught fire for a stretch earlier this month, but he is 3-for-23 (.130) with 10 strikeouts over his last seven games.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Brewers' Luis Urias: Unlikely to return this week

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Urias (hamstring) is likely to return early next week, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Urias began a minor-league rehab assignment last week and was eligible to return from the injured list ahead of Tuesday night's game in Toronto, but it sounds like the Brewers will keep him on the farm throughout their current road trip, which runs through next Monday. The 25-year-old infielder has been on the shelf since April 1 because of a severe hamstring strain.

  • Tony Kemp 2B | MIN

    Athletics' Tony Kemp: Sitting Tuesday

Kemp isn't starting Tuesday against Atlanta.

Kemp hasn't recorded a hit in his last 14 at-bats, so he will begin Tuesday's contest in the dugout as Oakland searches for offensive production. Aledmys Diaz will take over at second base Tuesday and bat fourth.

  • Owen Miller 2B | CHC

Brewers' Owen Miller: Batting second Tuesday

Miller (forearm) is starting at second base and batting second Tuesday versus the Blue Jays.

Miller was removed from Sunday's series finale against the Giants after taking a pitch off his right forearm, but X-rays came back negative for any fractures and he's apparently feeling better following the Brewers' team off day Monday. The 26-year-old holds an impressive .330/.371/.513 slash line with four home runs and six stolen bases in 38 games this season.
