Colt Keith 2B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: On bench against lefty
Keith is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.
The lefty-hitting Keith will yield to Andy Ibanez at the keystone Friday as the White Sox trot out southpaw Garrett Crochet. In his last 10 games, Keith is 9-for-31 (.290) with a homer and a triple.

Adam Frazier 2B | KC
Royals' Adam Frazier: Sitting again versus southpaw
Frazier is not in the lineup for Friday's contest in Atlanta.
Southpaw Max Fried marks the fifth lefty in a row that the Royals have faced and Frazier hasn't started any of those games. He did come off the bench with a go-ahead, two-run single in Thursday's win over the Nationals. Hunter Renfroe will occupy right field Friday.

Edouard Julien 2B | MIN
Twins' Edouard Julien: Sitting versus lefty
Julien is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
It's lefty Cade Povich on the mound for the Orioles, but Julien hardly played lately regardless of the handedness of the opposing pitcher, starting just one of the last nine contests. Ryan Jeffers will be the Twins' designated hitter and will bat seventh.

Jonathan India 2B | CIN
Reds' Jonathan India: Returning to Cincinnati lineup
India (head) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Friday's game versus the Cubs.
India had to exit Tuesday's contest against the Guardians after being hit in the head by a pitch and did not play Wednesday. However, he cleared concussion protocol and is ready to roll after the Reds' team off day Thursday.

Aaron Schunk 2B | COL
Rockies' Aaron Schunk: Taking advantage of opportunity
Schunk went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Cardinals.
Schunk has started three straight games at second base with Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) sidelined and has taken advantage by collecting multiple hits in each contest. Overall, he's gone 6-for-10 with four runs scored and four RBI. Schunk hasn't gotten regular playing time since being promoted to the majors June 29, but he could make a case for playing time in 2025 with a continued strong finish and a good showing in spring training.

Colt Keith 2B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Triples, drives in two in win
Keith went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Rays.
Keith plated Detroit's first run of the game on his sixth-inning triple as the Tigers came back from a 3-0 deficit and got one step closer to the playoffs. The rookie has played a key role in his team's resurgence, as he's batting .282 across 20 games in September. Only three of his 20 hits during that stretch have gone for extra bases though, leaving him with a middling .682 OPS for the month.

Adam Frazier 2B | KC
Royals' Adam Frazier: Delivers go-ahead knock
Frazier hit a two-run single, stole a base and scored a run in his lone plate appearance in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Nationals.
Frazier delivered a go-ahead knock in the ninth inning and came around to score himself on Salvador Perez's single. A run of opposing southpaw starters has reduced Frazier's playing time this week, but he's emerged as a utility option in a strong-side platoon role, playing mainly in right field and at third base. The veteran has had a forgettable season overall with a .205/.286/.298 slash line, four home runs, 22 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases across 290 plate appearances.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | COL
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Out again Thursday
Rodgers (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.
Rodgers has now missed three starts in a row with left hamstring tightness, though he had indicated previously he did not expect to face a long-term absence. Aaron Schunk will get another start at second base in Thursday's series finale.

Nicky Lopez 2B | CHW
White Sox's Nicky Lopez: Idle against lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.
Lopez typically serves as the White Sox's leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching, but he'll hit the bench for the fourth time in five games while Chicago opposes another lefty (Tyler Anderson) in the series finale with the Angels. Miguel Vargas will serve as Chicago's table setter Thursday, while Jacob Amaya takes Lopez's usual spot at shortstop.
