Alan Trejo SS | COL
Rockies' Alan Trejo: Pops third homer
Trejo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox.
Trejo accounted for all of the Rockies' runs and their lone extra-base hit with his third-inning homer. The 26-year-old has gone 7-for-17 (.412) over his last five games while settling in as the primary shortstop in the absence of Jose Iglesias (hand). Trejo owns a .266/.309/.453 slash line with three homers, 11 RBI, 10 runs scored and three doubles through 68 plate appearances this year.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Three doubles, three runs in win
Semien went 3-for-5 with three doubles and three runs scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Athletics.
Semien flexed some muscle against one of his former teams, producing multiple doubles in one game for the first time this year. He came around to score each time he got aboard, and each of his two-baggers led off an inning. The second baseman has posted consecutive three-hit games, raising his slash line to .248/.305/.428 with 22 home runs, 72 RBI, 89 runs scored, 24 stolen bases and 28 doubles through 141 games.

Mark Mathias 2B | CIN
Rangers' Mark Mathias: Homers twice, including walkoff
Mathias went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Athletics.
Mathias hasn't seen a large share of playing time in September, as Tuesday marked just his fifth start in 13 games this month. He made the most of his chance, fueling the Rangers' comeback win in a big way. The 28-year-old hit an RBI double in the fifth inning, a two-run blast in the seventh and a walkoff solo shot in the ninth to help erase a five-run deficit. He's produced five multi-hit efforts since joining the Rangers at the trade deadline. Mathias is slashing .298/.369/.614 with five homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 65 plate appearances between Texas and Milwaukee this year.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Brewers' Luis Urias: Racks up three hits
Urias went 3-for-5 with a double in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Cardinals.
Urias was productive from the No. 7 spot in the order, but he wasn't directly involved in generating runs. The infielder has gone 7-for-17 (.412) over his last five games, but it appears he's lost playing time. Urias now occupies the short side of a platoon, mostly at second base with the occasional look at third. The 25-year-old owns a .229/.329/.394 slash line for the year while adding 15 home runs, 43 RBI, 48 runs scored and a stolen base through 106 contests.

Luis Arraez 2B | SF
Twins' Luis Arraez: Sets table well in win
Arraez went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Royals.
Arraez got aboard safely in his first three plate appearances, and he came around to score in the third and fifth innings. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 11-for-28 (.393) with three multi-hit efforts and five doubles in that span. The 25-year-old's enjoying a resurgence after a slight slump in late August. For the year, he has a .319/.379/.432 slash line with eight home runs, 46 RBI, 78 runs scored, four stolen bases and 29 doubles in 126 contests.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Sim game on tap
Lux (back), who is out of the lineup Tuesday against Arizona, is scheduled to participate in a simulated game Wednesday and expects to return to action Friday in San Francisco, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Manager Dave Roberts previously indicated Lux wasn't expected back until Friday's series opener, and it appears that expectation remains unchanged. The 24-year-old hasn't seen the field since Sept. 1 due to the back injury, but the Dodgers have taken advantage of the expanded rosters and opted not to put him on the injured list. Chris Taylor has seen most of the action at the keystone with Joey Gallo working in left field until Lux is cleared to return.
-
David Villar 1B | SF
Giants' David Villar: Out of lineup Tuesday
Villar is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
Villar has slashed .303/.343/.727 since rejoining the big-league club at the start of September. He will get a second consecutive day off Tuesday as LaMonte Wade fills in at first base, allowing Luis Gonzalez to pick up a start in right field and bat eighth.

Santiago Espinal 2B | LAD
Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Sitting Game 2
Espinal is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rays.
Espinal went 0-for-2 in Game 1 before being lifted for a pinch hitter during the seventh inning, and he'll remain on the bench for the nightcap. Cavan Biggio will start at the keystone in Game 2.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Heading to IL
Lowe was placed on the 10-day injured list with lower-back discomfort ahead of Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports. The transaction is retroactive to Sept. 12.
Lowe was held out of the lineup Monday and for Game 1 of Tuesday's twin bill, and he'll now be unavailable for at least another week. The 28-year-old will be eligible to return from the IL on Sept. 22, though it's unclear if he's expected to be game ready by that point. Jonathan Aranda could be the primary replacement at second base, though Isaac Paredes and Taylor Walls will also be in the mix.
