Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: On base thrice in loss
Kemp went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a walk in a loss to the Astros on Sunday.
The veteran gave the Athletics a glimmer of hope in the ninth inning when his timely knock plated Cal Stevenson, but that would be the final run of the game for the Athletics. Kemp's multi-hit effort was his third in the last four games, and he's now reached safely in eight consecutive starts, a stretch during which he owns a .300 average and .400 on-base percentage.

Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Will shift to second base
Garcia is expected to shift to second base after he returns to action from a groin injury, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
The 22-year-old was once viewed as the Nationals' shortstop of the future, but CJ Abrams -- one of the headliners in the package the team received for Juan Soto -- now holds that distinction, and Abrams will be recalled this week to take over the role. Garcia has had significant defensive issues at short this season anyway, and a permanent move to second base could be better for him in the long run. He has at least shown improvement at the plate, slashing .289/.301/.417 through 60 games since his own promotion from Triple-A at the beginning of June, although his 4:48 BB:K remains a concern.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Leaves with hamstring injury
Marte was removed from Sunday's win over the Rockies in the ninth inning with tightness in his left hamstring after running the bases. The severity is unclear.
Marte has oft-injured hamstrings, and the Diamondbacks are expected to evaluate the second baseman ahead of Monday's series opener in San Francisco. Marte injured a hamstring in June and was limited to DH-only duty for about a month before playing the field again after the All-Star break.

Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Homers, steals base in win
Rosario went 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs, two RBI, a stolen base, a walk and a strikeout during Sunday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.
Rosario produced plenty of runs during the Guardians' three-game series in Toronto, logging four runs and four RBI over the matchups against the Blue Jays. The 26-year-old has showcased increased power since the start of August, slashing .268/.293/.536 with four runs, 14 RBI and 10 runs over 13 games during that time.

Harold Castro 2B | KC
Tigers' Harold Castro: Hits home run Sunday
Castro went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the White Sox.
Castro hit his fifth home run of the season in the ninth inning against Chicago reliever Kendall Graveman. The utility player is one of the few Detroit players making regular contact this year, as he's now batting a solid .286. Castro has some fantasy upside when he's in the lineup, though he's mostly a singles hitter who doesn't steal a ton of bases, which caps his potential.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Tallies three hits Sunday
Hoerner went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Reds.
Hoerner has been locked in lately, as he's batting .400 over his last eight games with a home run, three runs scored and five RBI. The hot streak has pushed his season average up to .302. Hoerner profiled as a good contact hitter as a prospect, and he's mostly delivered on that potential during his time with the Cubs. If the 25-year-old can develop a little more power moving forward, he could see his fantasy stock make a big climb.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Tallies homer, theft
Estrada went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in an 8-7 win against the Pirates on Sunday.
Estrada singled and stole second in the third inning and launched a walkoff two-run home run off Pittsburgh reliever Wil Crowe in the ninth. Since returning from a concussion Aug. 7, Estrada has batted 9-for-27 with a double and two home runs across seven games. He's one of 10 players to tally at least 11 long balls and 16 stolen bases.

Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Heading to injured list
Garcia (groin) will be placed on the injured list Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Garcia has dealt with knee and groin issues recently, and he was held out of the lineup over the last two games. He'll be forced to miss at least a week and a half, while CJ Abrams will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to take Garcia's place on the active roster.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Dealing with groin issue
Guillorme was diagnosed with left groin tightness after leaving Sunday's game against the Phillies, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
Guillorme went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run before exiting Sunday's contest with the injury. The 27-year-old is scheduled to undergo medical imaging Monday and should be considered day-to-day in the meantime.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Leaves with injury
Guillorme was removed from Sunday's game against the Phillies with an apparent leg injury, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Guillorme delivered an RBI single and came around to score during the fourth inning, but he came up limping after running home from second base. Eduardo Escobar (oblique) is also banged up but took over at third base for Guillorme.
