Gelof exited Thursday's contest against the Tigers in the third inning with a right knee injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Gelof made a sliding catch for the first out in the bottom of the third inning, but he slammed his right leg into the left field wall in the process, and he was forced to exit the game as a result. The 26-year-old will finish his night having gone 0-for-1 in his only at-bat, and Lawrence Butler has replaced him the outfield against Detroit. More information on Gelof's status will likely be provided in the near future.

Jung (knee) will start at third base and bat fourth Thursday against the Angels.

Knee discomfort has kept Jung out of the starting nine for Texas' last three games, but the issue appears to have subsided ahead of Thursday's series finale. The 28-year-old will aim to finish the first half strong after going 10-for-28 (.357) with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored in his last seven games before getting hurt.

The Red Sox recalled Harris from Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Harris was acquired from the Athletics late last month and will now join the Red Sox after he slashed .336/.441/.537 across 178 plate appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas prior to being dealt to Boston nine days ago. The veteran has less success in a much smaller sample at Worcester, however, producing a .167 average and .583 OPS in 20 plate appearances.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

The left-handed-hitting McMahon will hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Rays send another lefty starter (Shane McClanahan) to the bump. Amed Rosario will cover third base in McMahon's stead and will bat third.

Jung (knee) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

The Rangers will keep Jung on the bench for a third straight game while he tends to knee discomfort, which stemmed from him fouling a ball off himself during Saturday's loss to the Tigers. Ezequiel Duran will get the start at third base in place of Jung, whom the Rangers are viewing as day-to-day while he continues to receive treatment for the injured knee. Per Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com, Jung is available off the bench as a pinch hitter for Wednesday's game.

Keith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

The Tigers will send Keith and fellow left-handed hitters Kerry Carpenter and James Outman to the bench while southpaw Jeffrey Springs takes the hill for the Athletics. Detroit manager A.J. Hinch has shielded Keith from same-handed pitching throughout the season, with the 24-year-old logging just 17 of his 260 plate appearances against lefties.

The Athletics optioned Muncy to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Muncy is slashing .227/.303/.396 with a 33.1 percent strikeout rate this season, and his playing time has been a bit sporadic since he returned from the injured list in early June. With Muncy demoted to the minors and Tyler Soderstrom (hip) returning from the injured list, Zack Gelof should settle in as the club's primary third baseman.

Loftin went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, two doubles, an additional run scored and was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's 16-12 win over the Mets.

Loftin was locked in at the plate, tallying three extra-base hits, including a two-run homer in the seventh inning. The 27-year-old has recorded three hits in back-to-back games after going 1-for-27 (.037) over his previous nine games. Overall, Loftin is slashing .247/.342/.420 with four homers, 29 RBI, 25 runs and a stolen base across 55 contests.

Keys is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest in San Francisco.

Keys started the previous seven games and contributed two hits and two RBI in Tuesday's victory, but he'll get some rest during Wednesday's series finale. With George Springer ready to rejoin the Blue Jays' lineup, Keys could see his playing time dip moving forward.

Keys went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

With George Springer still out of the lineup, Keys made his sixth straight start and put together a strong effort. The rookie has gone 5-for-21 (.238) to begin July with a homer, four runs and five RBI in those six games, but a shaky 38.1 percent strikeout rate. Springer could be back in action as soon as Wednesday, which would leave Keys without a clear path to regular playing time.
