Durbin went 2-for-3 with a grand slam, a walk, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 14-2 win over the White Sox.

Durbin came to the plate with the bases loaded in the first inning after Boston had already pushed across a run and promptly took Davis Martin deep for a grand slam, his 11th home run of the season. He later drew a leadoff walk in the sixth and swiped his 13th base of the year. Durbin has been swinging a hot bat of late, going 12-for-31 (.387) over his last nine games, with Tuesday's grand slam accounting for his lone home run during that stretch.

Donovan (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and is starting at third base versus the Tigers, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

As expected, Donovan is back Tuesday after a left groin strain kept him out since mid-May. The infielder should find work at the hot corner with J.P. Crawford on the 10-day injured list due to a wrist injury. The Mariners also activated Taylor Ward and recalled Jhonny Pereda from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. In corresponding moves, the Mariners released Rob Refsnyder and Mitch Garver, and they designated Stuart Fairchild for assignment.

The A's recalled Muncy from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old was optioned to Triple-A in late July and is now back in the majors with Nick Kurtz (thumb) landing on the injured list. Muncy has a .687 OPS and a 34.3 percent strikeout rate in 48 games this season and is likely to serve as a reserve infielder while up with the big club.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets due to soreness in his left hand, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Ramirez underwent surgery on the same hand in mid-June to repair a hamate fracture, though it's unclear if the soreness is related to that injury. The veteran third baseman has been struggling at the plate lately with a .478 OPS since the All-Star break. He should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

The All-Star third baseman started the previous eight games and will receive a day off after batting .182 (6-for-33) during that stretch. Gabriel Arias will fill in at the hot corner Tuesday while Ramirez takes a day to reset.

Caminero went 2-for-5 with two homers, three total RBI and an additional run scored in Monday's 13-9 win over the Rockies.

Caminero showed off his power, lifting a 422-foot two-run homer in the first inning before adding a 442-foot solo blast in the fourth frame. Monday marked the 23-year-old's third multi-homer game of the season and first since June 25. The superstar third baseman is slashing .283/.373/.557 with 32 homers, 69 RBI, 69 runs and two stolen bases across 112 games.

Jung (calf) did some running Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Jung's recovery from a left calf strain has come along more slowly than expected, but he took a big step forward Monday. The third baseman will continue to ramp up his running progression as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks. Jung has been sidelined for nearly two weeks, and it's uncertain whether he'll need some rehab games before being reinstated.

The Angels acquired Alvarez from Atlanta on Monday in exchange for left-hander Brent Suter, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Alvarez produced a .626 OPS over 208 plate appearances and made 63 starts for Atlanta in 2025, but he has yet to see big-league action in 2026 while second baseman Ozzie Albies and third baseman Austin Riley have both remained healthy throughout the campaign. The 23-year-old Alvarez had been playing exclusively at the hot corner at Triple-A Gwinnett this season, slashing .236/.337/.326 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 37 games before landing on the injured list in late May due to an undisclosed issue. The severity of Alvarez's injury remains unclear, but assuming he's not dealing with a season-ending issue, he could be cleared to make his organizational debut at Triple-A Salt Lake within the next few weeks.

Vargas went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Rays.

Vargas popped his home run in the ninth inning to give the White Sox some additional insurance. It was his second long ball of the weekend series against Tampa Bay and brings his total to 24 on the season. Vargas has continued to flash power, but he's otherwise struggled out of the All-Star break, hitting only .197 with seven RBI across 16 games.

Gelof (knee) will report to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Gelof has been on the shelf nearly a month due to a knee laceration but has now been cleared for game action. The 26-year-old is expected to require about 20 at-bats in the minors before being cleared to come off the injured list, so he'll likely need about a week with Las Vegas before rejoining the big-league roster.
