Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Exits Friday's game
Ramirez left Friday's game against the Pirates in the top of the eighth inning with an apparent foot injury, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Ramirez was hit by a pitch on his foot to lead off the eighth inning Friday, and he immediately limped off the field. The nature and severity of the injury aren't yet known, and whether the third baseman misses additional time remains to be seen.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Not feeling 100 percent
Moncada said Friday that he still isn't feeling "100 percent" after returning from a sinus infection Thursday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Moncada missed three consecutive games earlier this week before returning to the lineup Thursday. He was able to remain in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros, though he's still not feeling totally right physically. With this update in mind, it wouldn't be surprising for Tony La Russa to give the infielder another day off in the next few games.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Remains out of lineup Friday
Rendon (triceps) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Detroit.
Rendon is out of the starting nine for the fourth straight game after he exited Monday's contest in Oakland due to a triceps issue. The third baseman appears to be progressing, however, as manager Joe Maddon said that he could be an option to pinch hit Friday, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Twins' Josh Donaldson: Absent from Friday's lineup
Donaldson (calf) is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Rangers.
Donaldson exited Wednesday's game against the Mariners after the first inning with a calf issue, though his departure was initially labeled precautionary by the club. Willians Astudillo will fill in at third base during the series opener in Arlington, with any further update on Donaldson potentially coming at some point later Friday.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: IL stint won't be minimal
Manager Dusty Baker said Friday that Bregman (quad) will be out "a while," Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
While Baker's update failed to provide any sort of specific timeline for the infielder, it confirms that he'll be out well longer than the minimum 10 days. With that under consideration, Bregman figures to be on the shelf through June and possibly a large portion of July with a strained left quad. The Astros will likely try to establish a more concrete timeline for the star third baseman in the near future.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Astros' Abraham Toro: Goes off in win
Toro went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, a second run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Toro stepped in at third base for Alex Bregman (quadriceps), who was placed on the injured list Thursday. On Wednesday, the day of Bregman's injury, Houston manager Dusty Baker suggested the third baseman could miss significant time. Normally, this would be a spot for Aledmys Diaz, but he's on the injured list with a hand injury and not expected until after the All-Star break. That means at-bats become available for Toro and Robel Garcia. Since Garcia has more position flexibility, Baker might be inclined to keep him on the bench for late-game maneuvering and go with Toro as the primary fill-in for Bregman. He's hit well when given consistent playing time in the minors but has been unable to transition to a limited role in the majors the last three seasons.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Hitless with error in return
Moncada went 0-for-3 with a walk in Thursday's 10-2 loss to the Astros.
Moncada was back on the field after a sinus infection shelved him for three games. He had an errant throw on a first-inning grounder -- a potential double-play ball -- that contributed to Houston's three-run first inning.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Continues power display
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI on Thursday against Baltimore.
Ramirez was one of three Cleveland players to take Jorge Lopez deep. It was his 16th home run of the season and second in second in as many contests. Ramirez continues to produce at an elite level, as he has a 138 wRC+ with 47 runs scored, 44 RBI and six stolen bases across 273 plate appearances on the campaign.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: Homers, doubles in win
Urshela went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and two more runs scored during Thursday's win over the Blue Jays.
Urshela extended New York's lead by taking T.J. Zeuch deep in the third inning. He nearly cranked another homer in the ninth, but after the official review, it was ruled as a foul ball. The 29-year-old, who now has tallied eight long balls and 12 doubles, has put together a decent run at the plate so far, batting .269/.313/.436.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Doing pregame work
Rendon (triceps) is not in Thursday's lineup against Detroit, but he is going through a workout on the field to determine if he can return Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rendon is not in the starting lineup for the third consecutive game, though he could return as a pinch-hitter Thursday. If things go well, it appears likely that Rendon will return to a full-time role at some point during the team's weekend series against Detroit.
