Walls was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers due to illness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls hasn't been placed on the COVID-19 injured list, so there's yet to be any indication that this is anything other than a normal sickness. Joey Wendle will take over at shortstop.

Maggi's contract was selected by the Twins on Saturday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

The 32-year-old was drafted all the way back in 2010 but has yet to make his major-league debut. He'll get his chance after hitting .261/.364/.486 with 16 homers and 12 steals in 86 games for Triple-A St. Paul, though his 31.0 percent strikeout rate suggests that expectations for him should be modest.

Urias will sit Saturday against Boston, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias has been hot at the plate recently, hitting .324/.419/.500 over his last 23 games, though his 30.2 percent strikeout rate over that stretch suggests he's due to regress. Pat Valaika takes over at second base Saturday.

Chapman (lower leg) went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run in a win over the Angels on Friday.

After having missed the last four games with lower-leg soreness stemming from an errant foul ball last Saturday, Chapman was back in the starting nine. The slugging third baseman had been in a 1-for-17, six-game funk prior to his string of absences, so perhaps Friday's productive showing will help ignite a more fruitful stretch at the plate.

Walls went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run in an extra-inning win over the Tigers on Friday.

The rookie was able to make an impact through some solid plate discipline, reaching safely for the fifth time in his last six major-league starts. Walls boasts a .385 on-base percentage that's largely the byproduct of a 19.2 percent walk rate over his last eight games, a sample that also includes a cameo as a defensive replacement where he didn't log a plate appearance and a hitless pinch-hit at-bat.

Donaldson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's 7-3 win over Toronto.

The 35-year-old hit the second of three straight homers for Minnesota in the third inning. Donaldson is up to 23 long balls this year, although he's hit only two in his last 16 games. Overall, the veteran slugger owns a .246/.344/.470 slash line with 63 RBI, 62 runs scored and 22 doubles across 483 plate appearances.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 8-0 loss to the Yankees.

The 29-year-old was one of few Cleveland batters to find success against Yankees starter Corey Kluber. Ramirez has recorded five of his 24 stolen bases this season in September. He's added a .259/.349/.538 slash line, 33 home runs, 90 RBI and 96 runs scored through 565 plate appearances.

Chapman (lower leg) is back in the starting lineup Friday against the Angels.

Chapman missed the last four games after fouling a ball off his lower leg in Saturday's loss to Texas. It appears the third baseman is feeling better as he'll bat sixth during the series opener in Anaheim. With Chapman back in the fold, Josh Harrison shifts to shortstop to give Elvis Andrus a breather.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a run, four RBI, a walk and a strikeout in Thursday's 12-1 triumph over the Rangers.

Bregman walked in the third inning, singled home two and scored in the fourth and singled home two more in the sixth. The third baseman is now slashing .388/.426/.673 with 16 RBI in 13 games this month.

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Rays.

Candelario hit his 15th home run of the season in the ninth inning, continuing a recent power surge for the 27-year-old. He now has five home runs in 14 games this month, including two in a game Sunday. Candelario is getting closer to his career-high mark of 19 long balls in a season, which he set back in 2018.
