Rivera is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Oakland.

Rivera has a .474 OPS through13 games in June and will take a seat for the second time in the past three contests. Nicky Lopez will start at the hot corner and bat ninth.

Chapman (wrist) is starting Friday's game against the Yankees.

Chapman was held out of Thursday's lineup due to a wrist injury and underwent an MRI that revealed some inflammation. However, he'll be able to play through the issue, starting at the hot corner and batting sixth Friday.

Escobar (undisclosed) is not in the lineup Friday against the Marlins, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The veteran infielder will be out of the lineup for a second consecutive game due to what manager Buck Showalter previously described as a medical "non-workplace event." It's unclear if Escobar will be available off the bench or if he's expected to be back for Saturday's contest.

Nevin went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Nevin delivered a key blow during the Orioles' six-run rally in the second inning, clubbing an RBI double to drive in Adley Rutschman. Nevin has gotten regular run since Ramon Urias (oblique) has been sidelined, and he's driven in six and scored four runs despite hitting just .148 across his last eight games. Overall, Nevin is hitting .204/.294/.290 in 109 plate appearances on the season.

Rendon (wrist) was unavailable off the bench Thursday against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Fletcher reported earlier in the day that Rendon was feeling better and could be available to pinch hit, according to manager Phil Nevin, but the third baseman was ultimately not ready to return to game action. Rendon was removed from Tuesday's game against the Dodgers after aggravating the right wrist issue, which first flared up in late May. Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reported Wednesday that Rendon could head back to the injured list if his wrist doesn't show improvement soon.

Manager Buck Showalter revealed after Thursday's win over the Brewers that Escobar was unavailable due to a "non-workplace event," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

While Showalter said that the reason for the third baseman's lack of availability was medical in nature, he couldn't elaborate much on the specifics of Escobar's absence, so it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Friday's series opener against the Marlins. If the 33-year-old is forced to miss additional games, Jeff McNeil, Luis Guillorme and J.D. Davis would be candidates to start at third base.

Rendon aggravated his right wrist injury during Tuesday's game against the Dodgers and will be out of the lineup for a second consecutive matchup. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench, but Matt Duffy will take over at the hot corner and bat sixth.

Escobar isn't starting Thursday against the Brewers.

Escobar went 0-for-11 with an RBI, a walk and six strikeouts over the last three games and will get a day off during Thursday's series finale against Milwaukee. Luis Guillorme is shifting to third base while J.D. Davis serves as the designated hitter.

Chapman is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles due to recurring right wrist soreness, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

The wrist issue kept him out for three straight games before he returned to the lineup Tuesday and slugged home runs in consecutive starts. At this stage, manager Charlie Montoyo said the Blue Jays aren't sure on the extent of Chapman's setback, so he should be viewed as day-to-day heading into the team's weekend series with the Yankees. Santiago Espinal will replace Chapman at third base in Thursday's series finale with Baltimore.

Hayes went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a run scored Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Hayes earned a free pass in the opening inning and came around to score on a Cal Mitchell single. He hit a two-out triple four frames later -- his first of the season -- but was stranded. Hayes is hitting just .130 with a 41.7 percent strikeout rate across his last six games, though he still has two RBI and two runs scored in that span. For the season, Hayes has maintained a 111 wRC+ and also chipped in seven stolen bases with two homers.
