Donning a Mariners uniform has undeniably agreed with Toro, who now boasts a .500 average (9-for-18) with three doubles, two home runs, four RBI, one walk, one stolen base and five runs over his first five games with Seattle. The 24-year-old was already making a strong case to keep primary duties at the keystone with those numbers, but that has been further cemented by Shed Long's (lower leg) placement on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Castro will hit seventh and play second base Monday night against Milwaukee.

Castro is batting .222 with five homers in 36 at-bats for Pittsburgh. He homered in his lone at-bat against Monday starter Eric Lauer. Castro figures to see semi-regular playing time as part of a rotation at second base for the rest of 2021.

Anderson isn't starting Monday's game against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Anderson snapped a six-game hit streak in Sunday's loss to the Yankees, and he'll retreat to the bench for the first time since he returned from the injured list July 24. Isan Diaz will start at the hot corner and bat fifth.

Bregman (quadriceps/hamstring) was scratched from Monday's lineup at Triple-A Sugar Land, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman exited Sunday's rehab game due to right hamstring tightness, and he'll be out of the lineup for at least one game while he recovers. The 27-year-old had appeared in five rehab games prior to Sunday's injury, so he's approaching his return to the major-league roster as long as his recent injury doesn't present a major setback in his recovery process. According to Jake Kaplan of The Athletic, Bregman is scheduled to run Monday, and after that the next step in his rehab program will be determined.

Peterson was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Monday.

Peterson spent nearly a week away from the team due to contact tracing, but he'll be available for Monday's series opener against the Pirates. Prior to his absence, the 31-year-old had gone 4-for-21 with a run, an RBI, two stolen bases and three walks across seven games since the All-Star break.

Urshela (hamstring) isn't starting Monday's game against the Orioles.

Urshela will be excluded from the lineup for a fourth straight game due to a hamstring issue. The 29-year-old is still considered day-to-day, and Rougned Odor will take his place at the hot corner and bat sixth.

LeMahieu (triceps) is starting Monday's game against the Orioles.

As expected LeMahieu will be back in the starting nine for Monday's series opener after a three-game absence due to a triceps strain. The 33-year-old will start at the keystone and lead off.

Rendon (hamstring) has not restarted baseball activities and remains without a timetable for a return, per MLB.com.

The third baseman is coming up on a month since he last saw game action, but he "hasn't made any noticeable strides in his recovery to the point where he could take the next step in his rehab." According to the Associated Press, Rendon has been putting in work in the training and weight rooms, though that doesn't give much indication about the status of his injured left hamstring. Jeff Fletcher of The Orange Country Register notes that in a conversation with Angels manager Joe Maddon, Rendon didn't seem optimistic about his recovery.

Segura went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh.

Segura was another top performer for Philadephia on Sunday, but the reality is that the second baseman has been seeing the ball extremely well over the last few weeks and has hit safely in all but one of his last 13 games, posting a .278/.355/.463 slash line with two homers, 10 RBI, four doubles, seven runs scored and a 6:6 BB:K in that span.

Candelario went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Orioles.

Candelario has played well recently, as he's riding a seven-game hitting streak and is batting .393 during that span. For the season, the infielder is batting .276. Candelario should remain locked in as one of Detroit's top offensive options, though he hasn't delivered great counting stats this year with just seven home runs and 36 RBI across 98 games.
