Davis (illness) remains out of the lineup but is available off the bench Friday against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

It sounds like Davis has shaken the stomach virus, but Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record notes that Davis has lost some weight as a result of the illness. With that in mind, it's possible the Mets take it easy on him this weekend and limit Davis to pinch-hit opportunities until he's fully back to being himself. Davis has hit .339/.388/.565 in a part-time role since the start of June (62 at-bats).

Anderson (elbow) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Braves, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Make it three straight absences for Anderson, though he has pinch hit each of the last two days and will presumably be available in a similar capacity Friday. He ran into the outfield wall Tuesday and was pulled from the game. Neil Walker is set for another start at third base with Cesar Puello in right field.

Rendon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in Thursday's win against the Marlins.

The 29-year-old continued his power surge with a solo home run in the fourth inning off starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez, giving Rendon 20 home runs this year, including three in his last five games. The third baseman is on pace for a career-best season, as he carries a slash line of .310/.395/.627 with 64 runs and 60 RBI as the All-Star break approaches.

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs and a strikeout in Thursday's win over the Royals.

The homers were Nos. 6 and 7 for Ramirez on the season. It marked his first multi-homer game since July 30, 2018, as noted by Zack Meisel of The Athletic. Ramirez has had a pretty miserable last calendar year, but he's showing signs of life with a .288/.360/.530 line, three homers, two steals and 4.0 percent K-rate in his last 17 games. For now, he remains in the five hole for Cleveland.

LeMahieu went 1-for-5 with two RBI and a run Thursday in the Yankees' 8-4 win over the Rays in 10 innings.

LeMahieu picked a good time to supply his first hit of the day, as his two-run single to left field in the top of the 10th helped break at 3-3 tie. The Yankees' leadoff hitter has reached base in all but one of his last 10 starts, delivering a monstrous 1.451 OPS during that span while accruing 10 extra-base hits, 15 RBI and 15 runs.

Candelario went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 11-5 win over the White Sox.

Candelario has been getting regular playing time at third base since his June 26 callup from Triple-A, and so far he's making the most of it, slashing .357/.455/.643 in eight games. While his overall slash line of .207/.305/.326 is much less impressive, this recent stretch gives some reason to believe that Candelario will have a good second half of the season.

Hayes (finger) was activated off the 7-day injured list and went 1-for-4 with a strikeout Thursday with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Hayes missed three weeks after sustaining a fractured left index finger June 12, and he returned to Indianapolis on Thursday after a three-game rehab stint with Low-A West Virginia. The Pirates' top prospect is slashing .241/.332/.386 with three home runs, 20 doubles and eight steals over 59 games in his first season at the Triple-A level.

Newman returned to the leadoff spot Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a run scored against the Cubs.

The move coincided with Newman breaking an 0-for-10 slide. The 25-year-old hit seventh in the lineup Tuesday and Wednesday, with Adam Frazier moving to the top spot. With Frazier also breaking out of a protracted slump, it wouldn't be surprising to see the two players move in and out of the leadoff spot based upon pitching matchups.

Donaldson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win against the Phillies on Thursday.

Donaldson's only hit of the game was a 426-foot shot to center field in the fourth inning. It was the second straight game in which Donaldson has homered, lifting his total to 17 on the season. In addition to the power output, the 33-year-old has driven in 43 runs while slashing .251/.359/.488.

Devers went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks, scoring twice in a victory over Toronto on Thursday.

Devers put the Red Sox on the board with a solo home run in the first inning and reached base three additional times in the game. The productive performance extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which he has batted a torrid .529 (18-for-34) with 11 runs batted in. On the season, the 22-year-old is slashing .331/.382/.554 with 15 home runs, 59 RBI and 66 runs scored.
